some things you should know before playing in multiplayer:

Well, if you want to beat an opponent (AI or human), why would you attack them where they are well defended, if you can hit them hard where it hurts? It's still playing fair and square, just using some devious tactics. ;D

To put it simply, using tactics is still playing fair and square at the game. Take 1 Laser Tank vs 1 Minotaurus for example. Do you think the fight would be fair if the Laser Tank just stood there and shot the Mino while the Mino returned fire? The Laser Tank could win here easily, but if you want to play 'fair and square' then I guess it wouldn't stand a chance. ::)

The key to using Ordos, is micromanagement, experience, and just plain skill. Ordos units can be very effective, you just have to know how to use them properly. You might think they're 'cheap', but at least they're effective.

The Mongoose had a more powerful hit, but the Laser Tank can regenerate after its been damaged. Meaning the Laser Tank can hit the Mongoose and slowly wear it down, while retreating and re-attacking after taking damage to regenerate.

Laser Tanks are much faster than Mongooses, and they have shields. The shield will absorb the initial damage. The Laser Tank can then retreat and recharge its shields and any health lost, and then keep wearing down the Mongoose again and again until the Mongoose is dead.

Well in groups, Laser Tanks are even more effective against Mongoose. They can swarm one at a time, kill it all with 1 shot (if there's enough Lasers) and then retreat. Some Laser Tanks will probably die, but overall the Laser Tanks will emerge victorious.
