Hey, anyone else having probs with the Kwisatz Haderach mod?

I got the 2nd edition one, made sure the switch is on, but i get half way through loading the game and it just goes away. Gone. Looking at my desktop. WTF? >:(

ah, try visiting the dune editing board, make a topic about it and someone will answer there. You probably won't have much luck here.

Well, I installed it in C:/westwood/emperor. Thats where the Readme said to put it.

As to Frodo, wouldn't this be a tech problem? And does no one else have this mod? Man, it was totally hyped and it looks cool as hell. Now I can't even play the game with the switch off. I do have XP if that makes a diff.

Well, the "auto update" has declared that there is no new patchs. Of course, it connects to westwood and they have forsaken us all, so if there is something else I need to do please let me know.

I tried to get the first kh but obviously it didn't work. When i took it off, i got Atreides back, but all of their buildings where gold and their icon showed the Corrinos lion. I left it that way cause it looked cool, but I can't tell now because I can't even get the game to work.

I'm seriously bummed here.

The graphics stayed because you did not remove the new 3ddata folders and files.

I know, but like i said, they looked cool so I kept them.

I downloaded another mod and it works fine, so I guess I just don't get to play KH. Bum deal. But at least I can play Emperor at all now. What do ya do, eh?

I didn't manage to get all the icons to work, so I left out those that weren't working.

BUT killinator's problem is not caused by the icons. His game crashes half way through. The icons could only make you crash at the very end of the loading.

You better ask Jacob. He knows what gets loaded in each part of the loading...

i had this problem too, but i fixed it. i had mods mixed together and it screwed it up. i eventually reinstalled my game, but i had to check the box that said "remove all files that weren't part of original installation" and left "remove saved game files" blank. then i installed it, installed the patch, and then installed the KH2.

problem (for me anyway)

solved.

Ethan, when i had to uninstall/reinstall emp, I left the 'remove all files and folder that weren't part of the initial installation' blank, and it still did anyway, which is what the problem was with the KH, I ost all my work, evil westwood.

Edric O- actully, the game crashs at the end of LOADING. So does this mean that it is a icon conflict of some sort?

Jacob- It does it right at the end (i can't remember what it actully says cause i never pay attn) when the the last of "the words" normally appear.

Well, whatever the problem is, it seems you're the only one who has it... :(

So I suggest a clean-up. Back up all your saved games & other important files, then uninstall Emperor and re-install. Make sure you haven't lost your Install disk, like poor Nema did... :-

Well, Wookie (who happens to be my brother in law) is having the same prob, but...ok. I'll try the clean up.

Yes, Kansas City. I live about 3 hours away in Nebraska. Kansas City is actully a pretty cool place. This sunburn sucks though. I got my 8 yr old son to go on the timber wolf with me,lol, I thought he was gonna vomit.

I'll let you know how the clean up goes!
