whats that sci fi movie where the crash on a planet and theres these crazy aliens that  can live in the dark and they end up killing everyone. i think its called pitch black or something. but red planet remindeds me of cause the both had the same kind of plot . also another good sci fi movie is mission to mars.

Mission to Mars is a 2001 wantabe that never gets off the launch pad. The movie is all talk and no action. Although there are times in Red Planet when I wished that Val Kilmer would have shut up.

Yeah but the audience has to want to believe what a sci-fic movie is first of all saying without that the action becomes useless you know there is no balance to the story. Alot of sci-fic movies do not have an imagination they are for the most part recycled hybrids (not very good ones).

Well you did not miss anything by not seeing Speices it was chosen for natural deselection. What would be the top ten sci-fic classics in you guys opinion?

okay guys this is how it is. thsi is a freaking good list.

1:Dune (of course)

2:Enemy mine

3:2001

4:Gattica

5:War of the worlds

6:star trek series (cant pick one as a favorite)

7:Pi

8:Blade runner

9:Dark city (It should be higher then 9 I just forgot about it)

10:Willow (it may not be that intelligent but you got to love it.

Star Wars. They are okay movies but are total copies of Jodorowsky's Dune movie. Why? you ask. its because almost all of the important people working on the film transfered to starwars team. Star Wars is cliche. way too much so. but they are a good series:)
