It will self-heal, have shields, and not slow down so much. But for now, it needs to shoot! I should have mentioned: I am using the Atreides Orni XBF. Any help? ??? :-

all that you have to do is copy the orni and the ornimissiles data, then don't change anything, then add the bullet entry to the artini and made the xaf the devastator plasma shot. That is what i did for my mod.

Um, let's see...I just did my first texture: the scout/Mortar Huy. And it looks GREAT! I guess I'll be doing my own textures; it's not as hard as it seems.

Very soon. Right after Frodo (or someone) gets me that LasThopter stuff. And I have a special surprise for all you Ordos Lovers! ;)

I told you, it is easy, all that you do is copy the ornithopter data, all of it, rules.txt and artini.txt and paste it under ordos renaming it to OROrni or something. Then all that you do is make a new gun turret(You should know how, if not look in the modding tutorials thread) and change it's bullet to a new name, then copy the atorni's bullet data and paste it under, then add it to the declaration section. Then all that you do is copy the atorni bullet and turret data and paste it under, renaming it to the new one. Then under the bullet data, change the xaf to the devastator's bullet. That's all that you have to do. It is all cosmetic.

OK, I'll try again...

The file size for Beta 1.2 will be a little less than 5.00 MB. (Texture files are HUGE! :O)

Edit: N/M. It'll be less than 1 meg. Thank god for zip files!

It's a rather complicated proscess. Each .XBF is divided into several 2D segments. Further more, each unit is 2-3 .XBF files. All the textures are found in 3DDATA01.RFD. You will need DuneEx to extract them. DuneEx and a list of what textures go to what buildings can be found at Dune Editing.

Well, this is true, but i have to nitpick. ;) It is 3DDATA0001.rfh, rfd is the header information. And some units only have one XBF file, for instance, the infantry, and the incidental units. Tanks have 3, H0, M0, and L0. They stand for high, medium, and low graphics settings, if you change one, you must change all of them. Once again, sorry to nitpick Duke Leto.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ......Huh? What? I'm awake!

Anywho...CR is NOT dead, jost on hold...

So, I've got a question: In KH2, some models are used 3 and 4 times, with different textures for each. How would one go about doing that?

that wouldn't be that difficult, you would just create the xbfs, AT_Sniper_H0, then AT_Snipper_H0, and then refer to them in the artinis. And edit the texture files they use using =G_Infantry_256.
