I have good idea for mod but no idea how to make one.  :(  It is gonna be all infantry with Fremen, Harkonnen, and Smuggler. Subhouses are Sardakaur, Artreides, and maybe some others. Need help majorly.

download aplphabeta's tutorial at dune editing. Or you can just look around the forum for information. I might post a mod tutorial sometime soon, not sure though.

Somebody is already planning to make something similar. The Shai-hulud mod, where most is infantry and verhicles are only support. Vieuw Shai-hulud mod thread.

how do you change subhouses?

do you just go to declarations and change that then go down and say for sard subhouse = false ?

You can't make new ones, but you can change the current ones names. And add new units. The Kwisatz Haderach for example. House Corrino is still Atreides, and the Smugglars Subhouse are still Imperial.

Yes if anyone is interested in writing an editing doc, something based off alpha's notes perhaps, that would be great.

How do you VIEW the help file? My comp keeps downloading it thorugh Paint. Wierd huh?

Odd, right click on it, and choose 'open with' and choose wordpad, it should be somewhere there.

I usually make the core unit, for example, the harkonnen stalker. I copy the Mongoose, add stealth, and thats all, when thats working, I go thru the changes.

STUPID COMPUTER! WordPad refuses to open it. It gives me an error message or something. Maybe I should just give up because it appears I have destroyed my wordpad.
