He's absolutely gay. In Dune it is mentioned (and not just once) that the Baron has non-regular feelings about the boy servants around him. He even let one of his guests to peer into one of his rooms, and to smell the stink of a half-rotten body.

Hmmm...I remember it was wrote that one of Bene Gesserit has long blond hair and another one short brown hair...so its not neccesery...

And then they are selectieve in the movie aswell. The whoman who are "only" Bene Gesserit or mostly bald, or have headcaps so you can't see. [ but guess there are bald ]

But look at other Bene Gesserits like Jessica [ and Irulan who had recieved training from her mother ]. Although she is a Bene Gesserit, she does have hair.

Why did they make some [ the prime ] Bene gesserits bald in the movie ?

Jessica became bald when she became reverend mother (so when she took the water of life). Alia was born bald (she was in Jessicas womb when she took the water of life). So I guess it is the water of life...but Paul didn't get bald :O.

It was made like Harkonnen. They all have blond hair. And Bene Gesserit was all bald. Lynch had vision about community appereance. And maybe only women get bald becouse of water of live.

In book it was Alia had long dark hair.

In the prequels the bene gesserit blackmailed him into sleeping with mohiam. He had to and he absolutely hated it. He only likes men. Read the books.

And *cough Mohiam cough*. This was only Brian thing but in Frank Herbert book it has been already mentioned that Jessica was baron`s daughter and she and Paul were in part Harkonnen.

Its kinda ironic: the ruler of House Atreides and later universe was Harkonnen

Cos in book Bene Gesserit had whole history, they was shown as community and it wasn`t neccesary to make other signs. Lynch movie was short and to make them one he made them all bald.

Just curious...why on Earth (or Dune) did Duke Leto take Jessica, the daughter of the Baron, as concubine?
