Star Wars Origins Frank Herberts Dune

The one thing I'd say about the article is that it seems to create a point, that Star Wars took a lot of ideas from Dune, and then seems to take away the poignancy of that concept. It's not a new concept in English Literature by any means, Thomas Dequincey wrote about in in the Palimpsest in fact. But it seems a tad obsessive to me to go to such lengths to prove that it takes ideas from Dune when contemporary influence is such an accepted and common occurrence in art.
