You would want to destroy it in order to protect your base. It might be inaccurate, but it can do some damage.

For people who can't finish the game, caused by the missiles. Save the game every 2 minutes. And reload when the missile destroyed (too much) buildings. It's not a fair one ok...

Note: the first missile is the most accurate one...

Last mission, if you're not playing for Harkonnens is more tough: 2 missiles each 5 minutes.

Yes, although they come more in this order:

7 min. first missile

10. min. second one.

Depends on game-speed. Missile isn't unit like f.e. trooper. It's a weapon animation.

if both missiles hit your base in that last mission your pretty much screwed..... i hate it when that happens... but luckily that missile is very very inaccurate

Sonic tank are best

Death hand are not a problem, I took away the HArk base the 1st 5 mins, and then sadukar palace, ordos bace, rest of sadukar, the rebuildt sadukar palace.

i used 2h 30min at it and i sweeped the map with sonics

You must build your base in a line. Then the chance of hit by Death Hand is smaller.

How many buildings you need? Yard, 2 refineries, starport, heavy factory, palace, some windtraps, silo, Ix, radar, if you want Hi-Tech and light factory. Isn't it enough?

yes it works great... but it get's a bit boring that your defence is unbreakable for the pc.... i usually deployed an mcv on the enemies rock and then build turrets in the enemies base heheh.... never failed me

Two or three lines on base borders. In-base turrets can be lethal to YOUR buildings and units.

Just in the entrances is enough. And then some sonics/lauchers to destroy the enemy turrets. And some sieges for backup 8)

And while you watch the forces mowed down by your turrets, make sieges and missile tanks and create barriers with them, and then send them all after the base! Ah, the rush of it all!

Line of Sonic tanks or Launchers is ultimative weapon. Good for defense, unbeatable in attack. Both have greater range than R-Turret, but you mustn't order them to attack, only position them.

I didnt know adout the fast speed trick so that were on, but my version, i think it is a bit f*** up, it have been a piracy, for 10 years, and a lot of peaople can have edited it.

the first dune2 i got was also hacked... you could build a max of 99 units instead of 25 or something

Hi i'm new, but the set amount of units you can build is 40 but you can get more units by using the starport to import more units. I have won many battles this way. Though when the starport runs out of stock it will not get any more in stock till you unit count falls below 40.
