The reason HA was destroyed so easily in the books was becouse. The Traitoris dog aka Doc. Youhe Turned The Sheild Generater off exposing them to a full rush of Sadukar and hark basterds. IF the sheilds would have stayed up. They would have had a chance.

The sardukar are very powerful but with the help of the fremen it became a balanced fight for house Atreides that's why they became so great.  Plus they did take over arrakis so thay had to be a great house in the game!

Well I think in the games (Xcept for Emp. /haven't played it/) HA isn't the strongest! Harkonnen is the strongest!!!  ;D

And in the novel HA WAS strong, that's why the Emperor released his Sardaukar troops on them.

I think in HA. the barron fears that the emperor would some how learn about his secret spice holdings and launch a atack on them. So the emperor was behind the atack who cares... he was just a witherd old polition. It was his Generals who did all the work. And like my sig says the Best way to kill a Mahdi is to have the ottomans hang from a tree in Serres in 1426.

I think they mean before the Atreides were all but wiped out by the Harkonnens, and then used the fremen to take over the empire.

Harkonnen are supose to be very powerfull. They are a military concentrated house after all.

Although Atreides and Fremen could win over them on arrakis since they have alot of advantage there.

But with overall, i think the Harkonnen can easily beat the Atreides on every planet they wish.

In the game harkonnen could win but in the book atredies would win cos they got guys like gurney, duncan and the backing of IX

No in the book they only win because paul gets all the fremen on his side and they use worms and stuff. In a normal fight Sardaukar and harkonnen would kick ass as you should know ;D

Yes, but it wouldn`t happen if Baron was smart more he was and killed Paul or checked he died for sure.

But the Barron is a over weight idiot whos only advantage his his mentant who when comapred to Hyat is no matach. Oh and you reamber in the prequel the atreides liberated ix. From the sardens. If the atreides liberated ix from the sadukar who the barron fears so much.....so if you use that logic.......the harks are no match for the atreides.
