i think they have to. one day one of there  selles men will look back at dune history and haw peapol like it from father to sun. and then they will know haw mutch profit a new game may do to them just like it did to westwood and then they will not risk not to make it

note:dune made westwood not red alert peapol liked c&c b/c its an imatation to dune but were not willing to give awy there love to the original

EA own a few of my favourite games companies,Westwood and Bullfrog are 2 of them

i've heard they are in the making of another Red Alert game at the moment,

only time and peskering could hope for another dune,gdi/nod,or even another syncicate

what do you guys think about the gameplay though? some people like streamlined cash flow with starcraft/generals style build order,while some still prefer c&c 1 style bo/cash flow, i still like the old C&C1 style,though i think a few changes could be in order, woddaya rekon? hope they done take battle for middle earth bo :P

that is IF theres gonna be another dune?

I'm sceptical. Emperor was excellent... the gameplay and everything. I don't know if the next Dune game is going to be Generals with sand...

exactly my thoughts, IMO Emp is almost perfect needs some little changes here and there but apart from that its perfect. The balance is what makes Emp the best and I am afraid that the next dune game will not be balanced but will be something like generals, nice graphs but sucky gameplay.

So what we need is some company to change some little stuff and release Emp again, make some advertising etc and Emp will own again (I can dream, right?)

WARCRAFT 3 was horrid

I had it for a week.

I hated that fact i was limited and that hero bullshit.

lame game wouldnt even let me scroll the screen around certian building completely for a good veiw of a battle in town. just awful.

but the eye candy was nice, just didnt play that great./

What EMP needs and still does need. is support.. lots of it.

EA hid it . they just tossed it aside which i never did understand/ but what do I know

..  ebfd is not the  best thing  in ebfd.  the best thing in ebfd is  dune it self, empror is not

a stand alone game it has basics and experince of the old even more perfect legendary  dune2000

  and dune2 even.  so its a part in westood rts perfection  dune  series .

why its going to die. i will tell u. not b/c good peapol will leave it but b/c the tecnolegy will

not support a 10 yo game and in 2 to 3 years non of the new drivers will be able to run it,just as i speak  maney players with new geforce drivers are having bugs and no matter haw this game is good

its a shame not to buy  new games and injoy the power that the new enchanced  drivers have.time my freinds .time  killes good  peapol so its eazy to kill a game.

why ea  killed dune games? who knows guys are saying ebfd didnt sell sucseffly. many good things in this world go down the drain peapol dont have good taste and they like selly stuff like flying ferry

barbies and ride  dragons  .  looks like somone importent in ea juse hated the game after westood owners had respect for it. maybe this person will leave or change openion but i think dune will continue at least i hop

no i don't think so...

EA has the rights to produce a new dune game... but why would they ? Both dune2000 as ebfd weren't a succes. And even if they would produce a next dune i probably wouldn't buy it, just because they don't have a good team to make it. Many people of Westwood left to create their own studio (now working on starwars RTS) and other WW people left to Blizzard. To keep it short: the good people left.

And EA stays EA, they don't support their games and only want money, now again they are working for a new Battle for middle earth II, just because the first one was a succes so they can make more money out of it.

And emperor wasn't excellent or perfect at all... if it was that good, than all people (or more people) would have played it, and than it would have had some better %. How do you explain why this game isn't a succes? Because it isn't perfect at all... because almost all people prefer RA2, SC,... because those games are slower or whatever...

But after all... emperor is my favorite pc game =)

see i never saw  wc3 but i knew there is dragons in it.  what am trying to say newvolary is that i am not a young person anymore  as i am 34 by now  and too mutch cartoons and that alice in wounder land little girls  stuff graphics  realy make  my look (feels) selly about my age. i respect some desent  war games as they show  some mussels and fast movmens  but am not realy into building

some  sendebad the majic heros  meky mouse donald duck things u know. i may like games like doom3

act of war  rome total war just b/c they reflect some real stuff or horor.its just a matter of age man i now ure a young guy and when i was as old as u i used to like those carttons dolls kind of carecters now i find them selly to a point.

Maybe the next Dune game could be the Machine Crusade? Machines VS Humans in the Dune universe, and also on one or two missions you play as Selim Wormrider who starts the Fremen? :) (Just a thought).

in some  comment web site to know??/  who is war craft  game?? its no budy.  dune is a novel

juse like  famouse storyes about  since fiction. this great  novel  became a series of movies in hollyood

  those dune movies was a hit and sucsess. then  dune became  the first ever rts game title  and made the same impact  as it was in a book or a movie  theater or on a game cds it made the same sucsess  miracles as it actuly invent rts. and the first one ever to put gathering resorces in a game.  since the 80s dune is alive and arakies is  kikcking and full of action in planty of peapol minds and souls.. who is war craft??? its a nice game with some nice ideas but its not all that..

i know. u know. not evry one knows!!!  but  they talk so  try to  see

and so..  any way u seem like a smart guy newvolarry.  what do u think?  dune or  start craft

and if start craft is so cool why they dont make new  games since 2002?/!!

Well ...I m just saying that i hope that BLIZZARD ENTERTAIMENT should make Dune games from now on :)...Spicy StarCraft=RTS(100%)

WarCraft III Reign of Chaos=RTS(90%) and RPG(10%)

After WarCraft 3 ROC blizzard made Warcraft 3 the frozen throne(Expansion set)...Then World Of WarCraft (MMORPG)

Yeah blizzard wont make any dune game for sure...They r working at Ghost and later WoW expasion set...

If EA makes Dune then Dune gonna suck for sure ....

EA  is a great  games company  and they rule in the market ,  i belive they can make good games even better than westwood.and olso why every one think another dune game wont sell? who knows man

do u think all of us dont know what are we doing? we all bought ebfd. if the right stuff was made in a new dune game and it went to the marked with the right  presentation  it will sell

like schorpy said if its good peapol will buy it

Also adding to that point is that, well... who knows even the very old players might come back to the new dune game, if there ever was ganna be one. Lol even brennq. heh.
