Andrew
Thought I would start this a day early. At my university, there was a flyer on the bulletin board about going to an anti-bush protest at the city's(where I live) town hall(?). I am not going.I did not think we had radicals like that at on the Island. Guess we do now since Bush started being a dick.http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/americas/11/29/bush.canada.ap/Polls show Canadians mostly disapprove of Bush's conservative values and the war in Iraq. About 59 percent dislike the president and 84 percent support Canada's decision not to send troops to Iraq, an October Ekos Research survey said.LOLOne group, Lawyers Against the War (LAW), wants Bush arrested and charged with war crimes if he even sets foot in the country. The group says Canadian immigration law bars entry to those who have engaged in "gross violations of human rights."Citizens Arrest 8). Although my guess is he has diplomatic immunity.Took him four years to finally find Canada on the map.http://www.cbc.ca/mondayreport/and watch this week's rant. So, will he be pied or pretzeled? Take your pick, either way, he is gonna have a fun time in Canada. :)I'll be sure to watch the reports about it, because it might be another 4 years before he shows up again (if ever).Sorry for all the antibush stuff, but this is actually an event to watch. If Jean Chretien can get pied on PEI, Bush can get pretzeled in Ottawa or Halifax. Would anyone find it funny if they gave out free pretzels in parliment? hehe. Maybe warrior princess will meet Bush. And hopefully Bush will know the name of our PM. It's not Jean Poutine.
Mahdi
He cancelled his speach to parliment. He doesn't want to put up with the protstes so he's in Ottawa for a couple hours to visit the museum of civilization, then it's off to Halifax. Andrew
Wow, I love it! He visits Canada by going to a museum. Nice to see he is still taking lots of vacations while protecting freedom. ::)
ordos45
Yep that's my coward President, cancelling his address to another government, because he's afraid of differing opinions. Sort of like his re-election campaign, if you remotely resembled anything he was against you were escorted out of the rallies by security. Andrew
Hehe, funny to hear the protesters harrassing reporters. Dumbasses.1 injured police officer, some protesters taken away.http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/1101820453372_40/?hub=TopStoriesAnd Bush is going to be eating Alberta beef tonight (or tomorrow). Wonder if he knows about that.

Andrew
How many did you count?I knew he had one up in the air to specifically pick him up if things got bad.Cute!http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2004/11/30/746127-cp.htmlEDIT - Man they clap too much for Bush. Saw my Premier on tv, woot, and Bush even mentioned him :). Too bad Binns is getting put out next election ;).
Andrew
Bush Acknowledged he pronounced our previous Prime Minister Jean Pountine. What a comedian. And he said he ate Alberta beef and is still standing. He talked about PEI potatoes too and made a reference to the PEI Premier.Took him 3 years to say thank you. A bit late if you ask me. Maybe if he said it before he invaded Iraq, we might have been more reluctant about helping him invade another country. (yah right)He can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk? Time will tell. I think he just wants some soldiers to help out when he illegally invades more countries.Bush plans to invade more countries. He said something like "voting will occur... one day across the middle east". Wow, I think he really cares about their cultures. :P EDIT - He also made a comment about getting hockey going again (a joke). Hockey is not a joke. We now have beer commercials about getting hockey back. We need hockey. At least the beer leagues have not shut down.
ordos45
I loved his polite audience just now giving him applause after every little thing, but no applause during his Iraq fifteen minutes.
Andrew
Yep, you must have been watching CNN when they said that. Hehe.EDIT - http://www.canada.com/national/story.html?id=ee91ab18-43f0-4d36-a41c-1fa7991218fcWow a guy on CNN thinks that all people do in Canada is go dogsledding. Good thing you don't need an education to be an anchorperson. And Without the U.S., Canada is essentially Honduras, but colder and much less interesting.Canada = Honduras... sure... He was right about Canada being colder.Ignorance is bliss

Barbarossa
http://www.world-cnn.com/2004/WORLD/americas/11/30/bush.arrest/index.htmlI must say it was nice for the intrnational community to finally do something about Bush, I'm just worried about his response once he returns to the U.S..... ::What was that? Sounds like cruise missiles to me! :O
Dante
Heh heh... this probably doesn't count as a pre-emptive strike...
Andrew
Odd, Scytale made a thread just like this and it was sent to the dungeon. (probably because it wsa just a link)I am sure this is not for real. Because Canada would not be Canada anymore, but just another US state.Just some propaganda against Bush. Dante
I'm hoping that it's real. Not really expecting it to be though. The date is November 29th, isn't it?
DukeLeto
This isn't real (unfortunately). Note the slight discrepency in the web address. ("world-cnn.com" as opposed to just "cnn.com".)
Dante
Drat. Oh well, maybe it will give people ideas. ;D
Andrew
Well, there was the group of lawyers who were wanting Bush arrested as soon as he landed in Canada. Heck we almost had Michael Moore arrested for talking about our election during a hush hush period of time.We tried arresting Madonna too. :D
