so there have been alot of people around in emperor battle for dune in my years of experience. out of all the people youve met, what is the best strategy game you have ever had. it could even be a match that wasnt that good but had some excellent battles. so voice your experiences with us if you will.

mine was about three years ago when i played doom, doomp0w3r, gunwounds, and procyonb it was a hellashis battle and we won. dont ask me how we did it but every attack was counter attacked, was the best game i have played with partners. and it was a clan match SKUM RULES

Mine was when I was still fresh and new, not rusty. I was playing with one of the regulars, someone like ra or glediator, or one of the others that played back then. It was me and him vs two others on a 4 player map, and from the word go we were at a disadvantage.

A bit like your game, almost every attack was countered, but they did hurt us a fair bit. Inch by inch we fought back, before we finally had the upper hand, and then won. The thing that made it special was we had such a long battle on a reletively small map.

More of a strategic game, the kind that doesnt happen so much now that the people I play with can build fast and either wipe me or get wiped.

Mine was more recent about 6 months ago when brennq was still playing.  We were playing 1v1 hark vs hark games.  This particular game lasted near 3 hours.  Was one of the funest games I have ever played.  We did gunships, dev drops, adps, I did a tank drop on him a few times and it worked well, mutiple like 10 worms at one time, fed attacks, we engeed each other stoping like 20 of our new bases, we had really strategical attacks using rock openings and forming really strange unit combos.  He tried missletanks, troopers, and fremen snipers and I had flametanks with sard elites and scouts as decoys.  I remember he even rushed my base a few times from another direction with  flamemen, assult tanks, and fremen snipers.  Using saws, tanks, inf or troopers, sards, feds or snipers, and adps, gunships, and devs was not enough for either of us to beat each other so we were doing all kinds of different things.  Never once did we harv drop each other like other people would.  We did all kinds of things that game and I wish it never ended.  8)

okay... my best game actually wasn't with EBFD but with good old Dune2 - it was 2 missions before the last one I guess. I played Harkonnen vs. Atreides. the difficult part was: it wasn't really my game. I got the savegame from a friend of mine and for some reason he screwed up the mission. there was little spice left on the map, I only got few units... it seemed impossible for me to win but for some reason I tried and the mission went on for a couple of hours (yes right... dune2 against cpu and it took hours - e.g. because cpu had a lot of rocket turrets and I had almost no money and just 2 missile-tanks). it wasn't that much fun but finally I won the mission after this long long fighting and that's probably why I'll never forget this mission... never had such a game again since then.

my best time on emp was with darnnoobs and apollyon...there was a time, when we did a lot of 2vs3 and 2vs4. and especialy those games were great, where we couldnt rush some1 to death, so that they started to overcount us, so that we were almost dead, but idk how, but we kept alive, and started to grow again slowly slowly slowly.....and in a hard fight we won them. especialy 1 game is in my head, where we had to fight all houses with 2 ordos...it means we were 2 ordos vs ordos hark and atr. that was the most fun for me.

  I always enjoyed the games in which myself or my ally was on the edge of defeat, rising up from the ashes and somehow winning.  But I can't really think of a single one in particular since there were so many gg's like that.

Probably my first win against one of my old EBFD buddies, cyraxx99. ;D It was on Knife Fight, a 1 vs 1 game, I was on the Northern rock plateau, he was on the Southern. It was an Ordos vs Ordos game.

I won by engi dropping his base, then popping up turrets. Eventually, I finished it off with a laser and gas rush. :D

Other memorable games include 2 vs 2s, against combinations like emprworm and Sardcore, and atrd3m0n and skumclam. I don't remember ever winning against those combinations, but the games that I did play in against them were nailbiters.

I remember winning a 2 vs 2 against emprworm, but only because I managed to finish off his partner fairly easily with a dust and gas rush (his partner neglected to build any refineries until very late), resulting in a 2 vs 1 with me and my ally against him. That game was on Fishers Plain, with 1 Ordos and 1 Atreides vs 1 Ordos and 1 Atreides.

Finally there was another game with emprworm, I was his ally this time. emprworm ended up starting all by himself on the right side of the map, on the rock platform just below the top right corner. Interestingly enough, the enemy had build their base together, on the top right corner. I had to come all the way down from my spot to help emprworm from being double teamed, from what he was saying in the game I think he was on the verge of quitting, due to me not helping him. I built a factory and hanger in his base, and helped to defend him while he got some cash from a refinery I gave him in my base.

It turned out that the two other people teamed against us were so busy concentrating in emprworm, that they weren't paying attention to what I was doing. A combined gunship and guild rush later, and the enemy had no construction yards or factories left, and were eventually worn down. This was a 2 vs 2 game on Fishers Plain, with 1 Harkonnen and 1 Atreides (I was Harkonnen, emprworm was Atreides), vs 1 Ordos and 1 Harkonnen.

a game wich was played not so long ago. 2vs2. me with an ally and jeff with an ally. my team was abaut to win, so jeff gave up and selled all....but with that selling he got so much infantry, that he overruns us, and won that game...hehe....it was realy unbelievable.....but so what...it was a GG
