Yes, but why our primeminister? We haven't helped them with anything, okay, maybe some diplomatic relations, but not much. It isn't as if Arafat was close to Sweden in some way... ("besides" the Oslo Treaty which was some time ago).

Will countries send their officials to bin laden's funeral Dante?

Diplomacy. Arafat was an asshole, but to denounce him (like, not visiting his funeral) would probably do more harm then good. Afterall many Palestinians accepted him as their leader.

As far as I know there is no Palestinian state, and besides I'm not sure UK and France will send officials to Sadam's funeral.

Are you just going to keep listing people that we're not supposed to like until you find one that fits your argument? Saddam's funeral, when it actually occurs, will depend entirely on the circumstances surrounding his death. My bet is that nobody will be allowed to attend. Either that or he'll be executed in his own country, which would not be a good idea...
