Who here likes this band? I am just starting to get into them. I really like "Ain't Love Grand", thats my favorite song by them. I like "A Vampires Laminent" and "Bleeding Mascara" and "Tulips are better" too but not as much. My best friend went to there show this weekend and he said it was insanly awsome. He said the music rocked and the pits were huge. He wants to bring me next time they are in town so I guess I am going to go see them.

These guys are pretty good but there is a limit to how much I can listen to them. You get sick of it after awhile. But I would tell you guys to check them out, you may like them.

they are actually on napster... i listened to the first 30 seconds of "bleeding mascara"... ya they are a little too hard-core for my taste, so thats my warning for others...

Theres no doubt that they are a hardcore/metal band.....but like I said I enjoy it within reason. You should have listened to the whole song..its a good one. I listen to metal and heavy metal so thats why I like it. I know there are some metal fans around here...and im sure that somebody here will dig it. So check it out, nothing to lose. They are really pretty good....

Its not supposed to be Celine Dion here guys.....

Its hardcore/metal and theres alot of screaming in it...thats the kind of music they play. If you dont like that then they wouldent be for you. But I bet there are a few people here that could appreciate Atreyu and like them. I am not a total fan but I still enjoy a few songs.

Another reason why not to screw up the English language. So how would you define hardcore in this sense, bands etc. I was just expecting hardcore as in insanely heavy metal.

hardcore is an offshoot of punk, It's not metal at all, though there is metal/hardcore or "metalcore", such bands include killswitch engage, as i lay dying, and atreyu to a lesser extent.

don't take my explaination for granted, I really don't know how to define it, listen to The Bled and you'll get it.

I dont know I wouldent say that hardcore is like punk.....its sorta like its own genre. I would say its more metal that got softer. I dont like it as much as death metal or heavy metal but hardcore/metal core is still good.

Not bad. Not to happy with the singer's voice when he's screaming. I'm a huge metal fan. It looks like they're playing around here on Saturday night. If it's not to much maybe I'll check it out.

AC/DC is not hardcore nor is guns n roses or metallica or NIN or anyone you mentioned.

AC/DC is classic rock (and damn good)

metallica and guns n roses are metal

NIN is industrial ( I could be wrong, if I am then they're metal)

atreyu isn't a big band and I doubt is focussed on money, hardcore isn't even popular (unlike pop-punk and pop-rock *shutters*) the reason for screaming is

if I wasn't clear, I apologize but it's just irritating to hear people moan how it isn't "hard" enough when it's not supposed to rival Slayer or Metallica.
