I use FRAPS to capture in-game movies, though, the version I have only records 20 seconds. Else, you have to buy the whole thing. I've also had some strange problems with FRAPS, like when I downloaded the free version a month ago - WinAmp wouldn't start. I followed Nyar's tip and removed FRAPS, then, a week later, I installed it again, and this time, WinAmp would work too.

Maybe it's the program, or maybe it's my computer. I'd say the latter, because now, some *.MPG files refuses to run on the computer. Any suggestions to this? :D

I used FRAPS to record ingame with Emperor. Only the problem is that when recording, FRAPS screws up the game speed. So Emperor will run then with 2 frames per second. And the recorded movies are very big.

Then I use a video editing program to put all scenes on a timeline, and I speed up the scenes to the normal speed. Added sounds which I extracted from the Audio.bag (excluding some Ordos sounds, which I recorded, because they can't be extracted correctly) And addes some music and titles. And then I could start the rendering, what went wrong the first couple of times because I had some too high audio levels (sound was terrible at some points) And finally I got that version which I uploaded...

How do you extract Emperor sounds? What program?

Yes, you must use it to open the .bag file that contains them. I believe this can be found in the Emperor folder.

Yes, it worked. Thanks!

You can get a screen capture program, play the game, put an object on the Print Screen key, then use a video-making program to get the pictures together and create a seamless video. Of course the game will probably run horribly slow.

That`s a very good way!! j/k What object did you used in the print screen key? I tell my brother to press that key until I finish the game.  ;D

The problem with that print screen solution is that if another key is pressed anywhere on the keyboard anytime during the process, it will interrupt the recording process and stop it :P
