Have you tried it? I think it's quite good as a horror-fps. The "traps" are quite cool. I mean where the creatures jump on to you from the walls.

But it reminds me of Half-Life more or less.

Now I've reached hell, amd I can say I'm a little spooked. The flash-light is gone so it's quite dark...

my celeron500 comp is too much outdated :(

according to the reviews, either you use the flash-light but have no gun, or you use a gun but have no light >:(

my opinion is that a goverment that values soldier lives gives them gun AND flash-light. thus if you also value your own life, just don't play DOOM3.

I just downloaded the full game!

It's REALLY scary, especially when you play it with no lights in your room at 3 AM :D

but anyway its a great game, 2 bad I cant handle ultra quality graphics :(

Its Doom for the year 2004.

nice visuals, simplistic game play, but not deep.

In fact since system shock 2 (and 1) ive not found many games that absorbing.

Its a fun, knockabout romp though, and i do recommend it. Just dont expect to be taxed mentally though.

A worthy sucessor, but no improvments considering the amount we have moved on in processor power.

ohh just remembered, Unreal was the last game to have a profound effect on me. Remember when you crawl out of that ship into a vast and yet beautiful environment.... a perfect gaming moment.

I think I found a hint in Doom 3 that may be about an expansion pack.

Spoilers may follow...

As you know, throughout the game you can pick up logs from before "the incident". Each log usually contains both audio records and texts. When you reach the Delta labs area, you pick up a log where it says something like "we need to take the sample to the Phobos lab". Phobos is one of Mars' moons. That's why I think you'll go to Phobos and kick monster ass there in the expansion pack.

Heh, yeah I found out about that too. But I still think it will be on Phobos. Or at least in some kind of space station. They have to use Phobos, and maybe Demios too, before they can move on to Earth. Oh well, we'll see...
