Now another interesting ( but old ) news, two Mossad agents were captured in the New Zeland ( the shooting spot of Lord of the Rings series ).

You've got to admire the Mossad's dedication.  If you pull some sort of attack and run, they will find you, they will kill you.  It may take years, but they do not give up.  Just ask Black September...oh wait, they were eliminated over the course of years.  ;D  If only the CIA did such a good job...

Why they were captured? Simple presence of foreign intelligence agents doesn't mean they are conspiring. Maybe it's special when people see Mossad agents... I remember how our premier was heartly "accusing" one jewish merchant of working for Mossad. As well as of conspiring with chief of our lustration bureau against "national interests". With "nation" we can understand the economical background of his party here  ;D

It just sounded interesting.

Anyway if it is done for Israel's saftey it means New Zeland is a Muslim nation and/or has relation with the Palestinians. ( Those who would believe that are true suckers ).

But my guess is that New Zeland one of those nations who want to be left alone and avoids any trouble. The arrested Mosad might have some personal dealings with some Kiwis. But could not be sure so I thought to discuss.

By the way when would Israel truly be safe? I guess that is a million dollar question he he.

Yes, this is old recent news about over a month old but still interesting.

Mossad has frequently been accused of using fake passports before to launch its operations. In 1997 Mossad agents used fake Canadian passports in an attempt to assassinate the Hamas leader, Sheikh Khaled Mashal. The Israeli ambassador was ordered out of Canada until Tel Aviv promised to cease the practice.

There was also some type of talk about Isreali terrorist posing as al-Qaeda operatives to start cells in Thailand. The whole sitution was centered around tourist being murdered for their passports. It seems that alot of the deaths were covered up as "accidents",

The Israelis caught Mr. Vanunu in a very funny way. They used false passport there too, but that was not the funny part!

*Why do you all speak of Mossad and foreign passport? Secret agents should be undercovered you know... Any other agency in the world uses the same thing, it's the most basic and elementary thing every agent does. I can't understand what's the big deal? The fact they were discovered doesn't changes anything, it's a well known fact...

Of course.  However it is risky (and technically against international law) to have spies operating under false papers (as if you'de get your own passport and mark "I'm here to spy on you" on it).  If caught, an undercover spy not based in the embassy under his/her own identity risks espionage trial, and in many nations death if convicted.

I heard they did use the Echelon survelliance system for industrial espionage. Anyways, that's not the same thing.
