This week's discussion topic is on all things about the upcoming, "as-is" Emperor map editor. (link to Chris' annoucements on WW's Emperor forum - http://messagebrd.westwood.ea.com/boards/emp/english/Forum1/HTML/008764.html)

Are you happy with the decision to release a no-frills editor rather than a more polished one?

Do you think a map editor will improve the Emperor community?

Are you going to attempt to make your own maps?

I don't know if I'll make my own maps. It depends on just how difficult the map editor will be to use. Someone will probably edit the editor (;D) to make it easier to use. Even if no-one does and I don't figure out how to use map editor, there'll be hundreds of Dune fans who will, and so there'll be thousands of maps made in no time. :)

I think its a good idea.  I can't do triggers very well but just making a map would be pretty fun.  Creating the ultimate map, something that makes infantry the best possible thing to use would be nice.

I voted for the "as-is" editor in that topic, so I guess my opinion is obvious.

I don't think I'll make any maps myself, but I'm sure many others will. And I can't wait to see what weird things people can make!

Ordos45, I think you would like a map in which the only way to get to the enemy base is by crossing infantry rock.
