I installed it, but now I can`t run it. I also changed the compatibility mode of the .exe of the game. A error message appear saying something about the kernel.dll

Gob is right, you need to get the 1.08 patch. I had the same problem with kernel.dll until I updated the game. Now it works perfectly, and I don't even think you need to run it with a compatibility mode. The patch does it all!

Westwood's support site is, well, not very supportive atm, but their FTP site is still up:

ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/redalert/updates/RA108USP.EXE

Save RA108USP.EXE to the same folder where you installed red alert and run it. It should have extracted PATCH.EXE. Run this, and your game will be updated.

I installed the path, but it still not work.

It says something like that it cant find the start point of SMapLS_IP_EBP_12 in KERNEL32.dll

When I try to install a error appear:

It says that RA is for Windows 95 only.

I guess that i was lucky when i have bought the c&c combat pack for only 30 euro.

All 5 c&c games work for windows 98/ME/XP/2000

It has been a while sinds I have played just Red Alert [ mostly Red Alert 2 Yuri's revenge lately ]. . . Thought that with TS it wasn't possible to change your resolution. ...

This is normal. The movies were originally meant to be played on the old DOS 320x200 screen, but the Windows 95 version runs at 640x400, thats why you see black lines. Every other line is missed out so that the movie stays the same size.

I thought RA had two resolutions.

One was 640*320 and the other 600*300 maybe?

or maybe I am just thinking of the dos monitor screen having less hieght than normal.
