no it means clocking (getting the speed) of your comp over it's norm like if I had a 2.8 ghz comp (I do) and I got it to go up to 3.0ghz that'd be overclocking

Mine is currently running 20% overclocked..

I have a 3Ghz, which now runs at 3.6Ghz..

I presume that's an intel.

Mine is and Athlon XP2400+ which used to run at 2GHz, but now runs at 2.33GHz.

The Athlon 2400 is one of the best processers to overclock !

Is it still stable ? have you got extra cooling Doc ?

You don't need much cooling to press out some extra MHz out of your cpu.

I was just trying to get a picture of how mane people overclock their computers. It's not a case fan war :P

I have (besides the one on the powersupply, the CPU one and the G-card one) I have 4 case fans, BTW my temp thingy on the fron of my case is in Celsius how I can I make it the other? BTW is 27C ok for cpu temp and HDD temp?

and WTF does HDD mean? ???

the core voltage does not neccessarily need to be increased.

I can overclock my cpu by 266MHz without increaing the voltage.

However, when increasing the bus speed instead of just the multiplyer(which also overclocks my entire computer), I need to slightly increase my core voltage. (resulting in about 3-5 degrees hotter system).

Overclocking an AMD cpu is something entirely different than overclocking an Intel.

Who is the case manufacturer ?

27° C is good.

HDD is your Harddrive heat sensing diode.

ok thanks, and I don't really know I got it from cyberpowersystem.com and two have 4 blue leds and two have 3 red leds, what they are made by Turbo Cool

Pressing control one in BIOS does nothing.

Do you think setting them back to defualt (all of the BIOS) would get it back? our would that hurt it any like software updates that were applied.

To all those with >6 fans in their comps:

Doesn't the noise get on your nerves?!

I have 1 fan for CPU, 1 for PSU and 1 little one for the VGA card and even I can't stand the noise...

TBH, I couldn't care less if my computer ran 10% slower, if I could at least hear myself think.
