want to know the creepy thing? he went to a spiritist for help with his public speaking, and the guy showed him various body positions and stances to show to the people that would "open their psyche". if you notice, he makes many odd gestures, well some are subtle occult signs, others are just him being his weird self. and he really was an odd person to be around, very eccentric.

yeah remember though that the germans were craving for a messiah to take them out of the deep depression they had, not to mention the shame they met from the western community. So you cant give hitler all the credit, though he does deserve some of it for dooping millions of people, and enraging an already existant hate in millions others.

Nothing new, still more and more serious historians think about it. I would say it is a positive trend as many antitheistic historians popularized a myth he was a christian.

Don't forget that his propaganda minister (and speechwriter I think) was a genius in his own way. Goebells managed to do a lot for Hitler, he might not have made it without him. He was so important to Hitler that by the end it was Goebells that inherited everything. Including the few square feet that was still Nazi Germany.

Yeah, but he was also a layabout. He did very little work and was military rather than internal affairs. He was, however, one of the few important figures who survived the war.

Only to commit suicide when found guilty of war crimes.

yeah you are totally right dust, the people around him were largely extremely intelligent and were very good in their fields. sadly too good in some cases, and shows that genius is a double edged sword.

I seriously doubt Hitler was as intelligent as some people make him out to be. After all, he made some massive blunders during the war, and he had the habit of dismissing competent people because they dared to criticize him, only to replace them with incompetent fools.

Hitler was more insane than intelligent, IMO.

Hitler wasn't particularly intelligent. He just happened to get a few lucky breaks and a few clever people (Goebells being a prime example) on his side.

Hitler was on a cocktail of conflicting drugs, due to having two different doctors and also he had syphilis.

If your going to make statements like those Dustscout , then maybe you should know what your talking about.

You obviously know a little, as someone once said , a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. ;)

nobody will understand Hitler unless you read Martin Luther anti semitic book,

I can't be anti-semitic since I believe my prophtes among the righteos semitic :P

he had syphilis.

How did he end up with syphilis? The guy avoided women like the plague.

And Hitler owed most of his succes to the geniuses of his staff, like his minister of finance Schacht. I doubt Hitler was as intelligent as he's said to have been, seeing all the miscalculations he made in the war.
