...a rant about how fucked-up human society is right now... (I may not fully know it..but I already feel it like that splinter in one's mind driving him mad...and also a hint of a flaw about a certain ideal...)

Humans, those bipedal creatures... I already feel tired of them, I am sick of all the shit they do. My opinion of them is ebbing slowly but surely down the depths...low as the waters of the sea if the Sun were able to dry up all the oceans of the world...never to return.

Every stupid thing they do w/ adverse effects, w/c also affect me, lowers my opinion of society even further. They only show indifference, w/c they hide under a plastic mask, yet its already obious that they show nothing more than that. Indifference, and all small STUPID things that they do, w/c have dire consequences. What kind of a world am I living in anyway?

I remember a certain hero saying that the youth are the hope of the nation. But it is a flawed idea. Does that mean that those old geezers depend on us(or the youth) for a better future while they lounge around? Fuck! They should be building a better future for the youth, not the other way around!

And my hatred for society increases, all the negative images I see, all that fucked-up reality...that's what's real in this world, spawning indifference, they do not care for a better world, they just eat each other out like animals.

Animals? No, we are neither animals nor higher than them! The human race has degenerated itself so much that we are a cankerous pestilence lower than even the most lowest animals! Human society...I loathe speaking it in my mouth now even if I am one of them. I only feel that the cure for such a pestilence is to destroy it all.

Think what you wish to think of me, but I do speak in truth, in general, and I am not sure that there's anything I could say more that can explain it to you.

I'd rather be called a monster that to be liked for something that I am not or don't have...

Well...basically that's it. You can argue if you wish, or enlighten me on this thing...if there is a better way to put it... I did tell you that it is a rant, so go ahead and be the "plastic" persons that you are or...be honest anyway.

Main thing is not to value all individuals by what society looks like. Don't forget, one person can destroy much more than thousands can create. So I disagree with you.

Strange and abrupt transition of personal pronouns...

Well, if you don't like the way it is going - go out and change it. Too many onlookers and not enough doers.

Exactly. There are two ways of changing society: trough own change and hoping that others will change once as well, other one is by taking control of it. Why is the second one considered as better so often? This is rather dangerous trend, this popularity of manipulation.

"I remember a certain hero saying that the youth are the hope of the nation"

It's been said so many times, and it means not that the old should depend on the young, but the reverse - that the old care for the young. It is mostly used in praise of the prudence and forsight of those who do.

There is much to be hated in humans and their society. But try to consider how you may change it - perhaps from a cynical, quasi-sadistical point of view, if that helps - like public floggings for adultery and similar such improper behaviour.

I think that there is alot of diversity within humans, and a great part of those doing bad things are doing them by ignorance, while a great part of those doing good things are doing them to look nice to themselves or others, or gain something. There's alot of diversity, and I'd say pretty much as Caid said.

Find the people that suit you, consider the others as buddhism consider them: sick. Not permanently wicked, just sick.

PS: shygirl, are you a... girl?! To my knowledge, that would make a second girl with us!

Damn...didn't know I can be like that though (cynical and quasi-sadistic)...thanks for helping me discover this side of me a little better...

As for the "old care for the young" thing...try telling that to corrupt politicians...they just use the people...even the future bearers of a nation, the youth, just to feed their own selfish desires...and their money-hungry pockets.

And that's not all...consider the kidnappers, holduppers, etc. If I had my way with them, its off w/ them to be flogged...or any other death sentence ideas out there...but not lethal injection...too humane for the likes of animals such as they...

What kind of a world am I living in anyway?

I dont know , but im glad im not there with you...(seek help my friend)

shy ::)

Be glad indeed...well, I always seem to have it worse...both me and the society over here...but if I did have the capacity for both physical and psychological destruction of mass proportions (or in simple terms...REALLY BAD WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION), I would probably spare you guys though...then again, be thankful that I don't have such power. (Though I wish I do...)

*Sigh*

If I had power like that I'd destroy it in an enviromentally-friendly way because I think it's cheating and boring. Well, nukes at least. I'd probably poison everyone I don't like....

Thankfully, I'm not a racist in any shape or form so if I ever do get that power them societies can breathe easy. :)

It's the individuals who need to watch out...

"try telling that to corrupt politicians"

Vent your determined frustration ontrying to find a way of getting rid of the politicians (and, of course, replacing them with something better), who are themselves a hindrance to humanity.

Who cares about the world? (rhetorical question). Go out and do whatever it takes to have as much fun as you can. Then die. That's all life's good for anyway, it's not as though you can take the planet with you.

But if you could...would you want to?

There's no choice in the matter. Once dead I will cease to exist. Not only can I not take the world with me, I cannot take anything with me, even my very being.

It's unfortunate to note that most people today won't probably care for something better and as the root cause, they don't seem to be doing anything to change it...and, at the most, standing up for it.

Take this as an example:

If there are people who are victimized by robbers, obviously, the right thing must be done, that is, catch the robbers, get the stolen stuff back. But sad to say...efforts of people today still seem ineffective when it comes to making wrong things right again...and when trying to right the wrongs becomes ineffective, more people will dare to do these wrong things (the robberies), increasing in their boldness to do so, and when these robberies become more frequent, people will just put up a face of indifference and just dismiss it as some way of life.

That face of indifference is what I consider as a plastic mask. Incidentally, this also means someone who puts up a face when he/she is with others or with the society he/she's in, but in reality, wants only a certain gain and is not what he/she seems...a sort of duplicity...if I can go any deeper... :-

Many people see the injustice and sheer evil that pervades our society. Few people actually go out and do something about it. Be one of those few.

You said it yourself: Indifference lies at the heart of many things that are wrong with the world. "All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing".

Go out there and do something. Anything. Find one particular field that interests you, and strive to make the world a better place by improving things in that field. If you want to fight disease and physical suffering, become a doctor. If you want to fight illiteracy and ignorance, become a teacher. If you want to fight crime, become a policeman.

If you want to change the way things are done, to challenge the very foundations of present-day society, then go into politics. Look at the problems, listen to the solutions that various political ideologies offer, then make up your own mind about which are best. Or come up with your own solutions.

That's what I did.
