It says that the song Inama Nushif is used during the movie(and soundtrack?) Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)

The thread that complains about it.

The movie.

The quicktime trailer can be found:

I just watched the trailer and in fact it is used.

Hope Bryan Tyler was compensated.

(not necessarily a ripoff, but sad they can't come up with their own music for big hollywood movies. Oh yeah, thats becuase pirates are taking all their money ;) )

Actually he is credited in the credits for the trailer music.

Movies often use pieces of another films score for there trailers and temporary scores. There's another thread about this already.

Maybe your right. Although my searches have unearthed no thread. :(

This just shows they thought the CoD music was great and had to incororate it into this trailer, although I doubt there were Fremen back in the 1800's ;)

I'll blame Andrew all day long. If anyone deserves blame, it's him. He's our new scapegoat. And I blame him for that as well.

I think the search thingy on Fed2k is pretty crappy. After you said that there was another thread I searched for master and Commander and that thread didn't come up. It sometimes finds what I'm looking for, even if I know exactly what I am looking for in a thread. (and the advanced search is horrific.) (also searched for Inama Nushif, but that wasnt used in the other thread.)

Glad this is a new day :) or is this scapegoat thing for the whole weekend? :D

It's a week long ticket you bought Andrew ;) Mistakes like this could be punished for... weeks, months even!

I personally am I'm pleased that Master & Commander is making Dune a part of itself ;) Since I foresee M&C as a good movie.

I searched it by searching with the word "familiar" (because I know Mahdi said that in that thread) and the user "mahdidla" (his real name)

But I agree that the search function is very unlear and not very helpful

Yup, Mahdidla Young. My parents hated me.

Sorry but I couldn't help laughing. :)

If Mahdidla is number 1 you win this round. Show me Mahdidla!

Buzzzz!

The ending scene of first CoD part with Inama Nushif was one of the best I've ever seen. Perfect atmosphere, fitting music and true Dune logic. Here it looked like it isn't that staff which made first miniseries.

When I saw the trailer for The Scorpion King, I got roused because before the actual trailer began, I first heard the score from Conan The Barbarian...I was in the theatres and got all excited "Conan is being re-released in the theatres! I never got to see it on the big screen!" Imagine my disappointment when it was just the Scorpion King. I complained viciously about it until someone pointed out to me that they were both Universal Studios films, and as such Universal Studios has the rights to use the filmic righs of the contents as they see fit...and besides, you aren't really making money off of a trailer now are you? not surprised if others are doing the same with CoD.
