I remember reading one of his thoughts, that was actually a prediction. He said that there would be a man of true righteousness, and that he would be tortured and crucified. I am not making it up in the least, I just thought it was kind of neat, what do you guys think?

You could say you're not making it up, but then again your word is your word. Anything to bring some credibility to this before people start ooing and ahing?

I wouldn't see this as any kind of prediction or prophecy. It's not difficult to predict that someone who would openly oppose the wishes of the powers-that-be would be stopped.

Case in point: Socrates himself.

Acriku: I knew you wouldnt take me at my word, but it is understandable.

Vanguard: I just thought it was kinda neat, I mean sheesh its just a neat little thing I saw.lol It is kinda uncanny, because Socrates lead a completely different sort of life. He was more a rationalist, not as much of a humanitarian, wished to throw down the establishment. It seems that people dont really ave a handle on the bible, because you will ready so many times that jesus said to follow the status quoe over and over.

Dont worry Vanny, I wont kill you for picking my thread apart, Ill just bash your brains in! Ill bash them right the flunk in! (hehe... had to put a paraphrase from The Shining in there. :) )

hmmm... how many times do I have to say that this was a prediction, and that it is just an amusing sideline, good grief you guys go for the throat too darn much.lol

I didn't I just said it was vague, anyways it is pretty neato, like nostradomas' prediction of when his body would be dug up and that whoever does will die, and that did happen

weird...

Nostradomas was heavily into kabalism, and many believe that is why he faired so well in the times of the plague, he got into it when he began to go out alone, and when he started learning things of the supernatural. I figure that had a lot to play in it, since kabalism is probably one of the greatest mediums for mystic channeling, granted I think it can be pretty evil since it deals with controlling both demons and angels, and it's docterns are well, very out there.

Kabala isn't about prediction, it's all only description of present or past things. Taking out primitive astrology of Nostradamus, it is far from any average kabalist. Kabala is based on thinking of a human brain, rational deduction of showed or empirical truth. Nostradamus' drug orgies have nothing with it, please don't confuse it.
