The world should be flat and spin perpendicular around the sun. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about which country is ahead or behind in relation to time of day. Gaming online would be so much easier.

That is what GMT is for isnt it? you know the time near greenwhich? Everyone could go by that.

But yah a flat world would be nice, but then we would fall off the edge of the earth!

And what would happen if we dig all the way till the bottom of the flat earth where we can fall into a "road to space" and there will be no need for launching? ???

And I thought GMT is globally used? ???

guys

GMT is ok when specifying a particular time that every country recognises. But that doesn’t stop me from having to get up at 6.00am Sunday morning (NZ time) to play online with someone from Canada at (10.00am Canadian time) because they happen to be 20 hours behind NZ.

AS far as falling over the edge, as long as there is someone or something to catch me, who cares.

To dig on a flat earth would mean going into the past. With a flat earth there is nothing behind. Your future will always be in front with life paths on either side

of you.

So says the scottish yen or yettie, I haven't made my mind up yet!

My final thought for the night. Is it better to hit the thing you know or the thing you don't know? Would you antagonise the known strength or risk conflict with the unknown.

The whole Earth would be like the equator then and you would then be complaining it's too hot.

Greenwich, England has been the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) since 1884. GMT is sometimes called Greenwich Meridian Time because it is measured from the Greenwich Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Remember: Clocks Spring Forward & Fall Back (Fall = Autumn) - details here but GMT remains the same all year around.

And if you fire a missile at a rather low level,it will hit someone randomly, lol. ::)

In reply to your low flying missiles and random hitting. Its better to know everything about your target especially how it will react. Rather than risk hitting a random target with no plan for its reaction. Imagine if your missile missed and went over the edge of the flat world, what would it wake up?

This is getting away from my original thought about the nuisance of world time and date line!

And btw, what would lurk on the bottom surface. :O

Scotland. We always seem to at the bottom of most things. Or is it, that we are always supporting eveyone else?

Consider this?

With no night or day the calendar would only be in years (time to travel around the sun once)

There would be no days, weekends, months or even seasons.
