Acriku Posted March 29, 2002 Posted March 29, 2002 It isn't realistic at all when heavy artillery makes big craters. That is, if you mean huge machine gun rounds. Explosive rounds obviously are a different story. Think of it, you shoot the dirt with a machine gun - they hit the sand and it flings the sand up and comes back down. That's about it.
Timenn Posted March 30, 2002 Posted March 30, 2002 The artillery was a unit with a heavy firepower what launches it's bullets real high. So it must come down hard (a mini-metoride). And the explosion is also not to forget...
Acriku Posted March 30, 2002 Posted March 30, 2002 Why would they shoot them up? There is no telling where it will come down...
Timenn Posted April 1, 2002 Posted April 1, 2002 When you shoot up, you have a longer range. And when you make a calculation of the air-pressure together with the gravitation. From that you can calculate what the power is you need for a shot. And the direction of the barrel. Ofcourse, the artillery is then a very inaccurate unit. Because the bullets are long on their way before reaching their target.
vidiware Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 The gravity on dune must be really low, the ornis can fly, with slow motion wing flapping, and the Saboutaur parachute, is like a snowboard upside down! ;D ::)
Dunenewt Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 The Ornithopters wings do beat faster but dune probably does have a lower gravity
Dunenewt Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 i think every1 agrees that E:b4d is betternow we should stop talking bout it and lock the threadz
Aribites Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 'Lock the threadz'??? i thought we shud get on with talking about RA2, tbsun and Emp:BFD!
Timenn Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 No we've already discussed. Everyone except for you thinks that Emperor is better (it is ;D) then RA2. So let this discussion rest...
