where I live it can be like -10 degrees in the winter. but where we have the ski lodge it is often -15 in the winter. now that is a temperature I like! the we norwegians can prove the wikings we really are ;D

True -15 is warm about 2 weeks into it and you get all your winter clothes out.

Havn't you guy's seem American/Canadian comedy movies that make fun of Canada's coldness? like John Candy I think doesn't want to leave the airport cause it's cold outside. ;D (cool running or something?)

i don't understand, there still must be a mistake here. I worked in a freezer a couple of times. It was -18 degrees Celcius there and i was clothed in a sort of eskimo suit, realy big an thick and even then i would come out cold after like two hours. I had gloves, cold protection for head and body, only problem was that i was wearing normal shoes LOL.

my toes and nose were always frozen once i came out. And then considering that it was 30 degrees celcius outside (48 degrees difference). In the pause break we would normally play soccer, get realy hot and sweat, and after that i walked right in the freezer in t-shirt and short pants whahah, guess how that feels like, my wet sweat t-shirt immediately froze to my chest, nonetheless i was like 2 min in that cell to cool off before i went out. (and yes i know this is bad for your health, but i HAVE to die from something)

Last winter -40 with wind chill on top of that was fairly normal.

The weather isn't very cold before it reaches almost 50°c if there's no wind. Try putting parts of yourself in the freezer(if you have a big one like we do). It's approximately -15 to -18 there, and I could survive it in a thin summer jacket and a cap(preferably wollen) with no problem.

However, if it's starting to get windy, even only a slight breeze, you're suddenly feeling it where the wind meets your skin. In -30 and with a small breeze, I'd cover as much of my body as possible with wind-proof clothing. If the wind pierces your clothes, there is little use in them.

A few words from someone used to low temperatures :) (Although not colder than -10...)

to be honest I wouldn't wear summer clothes lower degrees than 10, if I were to be outside a whole day.

I walk around in my normal sweater and pants in temperatures down below 0.

If I'm not standing still, I could be out all day in that(unless I would be rolling in the snow.)

Here in England we have built in loft insulation,It's called smog !

Here in Coventry you can cut it with a knife.

People even sell it to tourists.Especially A.........

I worked in freezers (-18, jsut like the one's you're in) stacking ice during the summer in a t-shirt and shorts. I sometimes wore gloves.

huh? sweater and pants are not summer clothes you idiot. when i say summer clothes I mean shorts and t-shirt. I wore that the entire summer vacation, didn't use normal pants once.
