Look, Arnold isn't even in the "farther" right. He is more "left" than the usual republican, probably because of his wife. Now, Arnold has already said that he supported much of the more "leftish" stuff too.

Phoney PM's call catches Arnie

EDMONTON -- California's governor-elect fell for a prank by an Alberta radio station that pretended it was calling him from the Canadian prime minister's office this week.

A disc jockey from Edmonton classic rock station CKBR-FM (The Bear) at 101.7 FM was connected with Arnold Schwarzenegger under the guise the radio host was calling from the "Office of the Prime Minister of Canada, one Prime Minister Huber."

The DJ adopted a bad French accent and traded pleasantries with Schwarzenegger, who laughed as he accepted congratulations from the phoney PM.

"The people of Canada, my wife, uh, we're all big fans of you and we think you're going to do a great job," the DJ assured Schwarzenegger.

"Well, thank you, thank you very much and hopefully we can do something together," said Schwarzenegger.

The DJ began laying it on thick: "Mr. Schwarzenegger, up here in Canada I have a very big caucus.

"My defence minister, Don Cherry, he is a big fan of your movie, the one with the robot."

Who's pissing on Arnold? I just think it's funny. Nearly anyone would have reacted the same way. I'm not prejudging him either. The only thing that separates him from other political candidates is a degree in political science, which is essentially a degree in how to manipulate the public. And what he says about how he can't be bought like other politicians I expect is true. He's already quite loaded.

lol, every politician has this crap done to them, not jsts Arnold. Just look at Canadian TV: Our most succesful shows are those that make fun of politicians, and the politicians love it almost as much as everyone else. Free publicity, lots of exposure theyw ouldn't normally get, and lots of time they try to get ont he shows to show that they can laugh at themselves.

Here in France there is a system that discourages to do politics if you are an artist or a businessman. Basically if you do you suddenly got problems with justice and tax administrations and eventually receive death threats. At least Arnold elected means everyone has equal rights. Or success and money can buy anything. Or both.
