hey i just stated playing dune 2000 again awile ago and i was wonder can i connect to my friends who also has it i meen just to him. we both have the same cable modem isp.

Thought it only has that option if you are dialing into him. . not via ethernet .. not shure though. . I'll look it up if you like. . [ and now one else has answerd before the next time I am at a computer with Dune2000 ;) ]

no we are not doin ethernet we both use gci hypernet same provider not on the same line

if you both have cable and the same isp , why dont you just connect to the internet , and play a game on the westwood server at the same time , you will need to download a couple of patches first though , there is some posts on this forum which tells you how to do that.

i found out what happens when i click on multi it say invalid user name how can i get one and when i use the built in register it say the sever is offline

if you go to westwood.com and register on there website,you will beable to get a username , if for some reason you carnt get one , dont worry , as ill ask some of my friends on-line if they have a user name they no longer use , and you can use that one , while your on westwood.com download the latest patch for your country ,

whenever i go to westwood.com its all about command adn conquer and when i registered it said that i already registered that email so i put it in the box where you get password retrival and it hasnt showed up in days :'(

How long does it take to get your registration info?

I just installed Dune 2000 and registered. Hope to play some multiplayer games and lose next week.

The sad thing is my firewall in my router may prevent me from playing it. I tried one game, but failed to connect.

The even sadder thing is that someone just said that you cant play the game on a router at all, even if the firewall is turned off. :(

I enabled my UPnP in my router so now I can play online games.

Don't expect me here much anymore ;)

Reading what everyone has to say has helped send me in the right direction for getting on line. Hope to see any of you online soon. I'll need a little help getting used to playing on line, but I hope I'm better than cannon fodder!

How do you know it the patch installed correctly (v1.06)? I had a continous loop issue where dune 2000 contiually tried to install the patch when I booted from the dune disk. I solved this problem by removing the patch zip file from the root directory (dune 2000), the patch worked I believe as it unzipped the files! How does the rotorzconnector work? I installed the program and updated it to 0.91. How do I use it to join dune 2000 online?

move the icon for the 9.1 patch to your desktop,then click this icon to run rotorzconnector , you must run rotorzconnector , before you start dune2000,or rotorzconnector wont work.
