Sorry Olaf,

I can now use your client switch again no problems and I can close it with the red X again.

My system was unstable due to a dodgy graphics card.

Which had alot of weird side effects in Windows XP Pro. ;D

Well the two possibilities that have been brought up here were either a problem due to increased traffic from virus/worms or maybe problems with DirectX connections. No one really knows for sure though.

If it was a bug , then why did it work for many games ,but now it won't work at all ?

Maybe the firewall detection relies on external servers and maybe those servers are down now.

NO Olafs server does not work at all i tryed to paly 20 games and outta those 20 games i only had 2 games connect there has to b a problem that is the same as emp that is the same with Olafs server as well i hop it can b fixed!!!!! :) :)

Olaf - I was hoping that you could clarify something for me thats been bugging me, probably just cuz I dont understand. You have set up a different server, that is having same problems as WOL server. The part that I dont understand is , how can u make a server for Emp. without information that only WOL has, such as user names and passwords? Is this not confidential info that only WOL and EA has? Is your sever somehow linked to the WOL server? Maybe could this explain why your server is having the same problems? Please explain. :)

We really understood that Olaf. ::)

It explains why I didn't need WOL nicknames and passwords. It doesn't explain the connectivity issues.
