Just a hypothetical question, do you ever think that someone will make the game Dune: Generations. I was surfing the web and I came across some old info about it, and I remembered how much I wanted that game to come out. Is there any chance of someone picking it up, or making a game like it?

Perhaps(but reallly unlikely) we could start a huge petition to convince some company to make it, maybe sony online or something. lol, it wouldnt happen, but it would be nice.

for a while i thought shaitan studios was making a game similar to that one, but i dont know anything about that project, maybe we should try to convince some company to make the game, we could send some sort of petition each describing the qualities of the game, and how profitable it would be to them..

Ya, but who should we send it too, and before we make the petition a big thing, how many people here in this forum would sign it, so far, only 3 people have posted here(granted it has not been here long)

im sure if we spread the news everyone on dune 2k would sign it, atleast those we can contact, unless they think its a bad idea and it all goes down the crapper, i think its a good idea whats the harm in trying

I have one of the videos for it that were on this site a while back..those videos were good. Maybe Gob can have "DG Nostalgia Day" or something and upload the videos again.

why couldnt a community like us just sigh a petition with sentances from all and sent it to multiple game producers

But what companies would we give it too? The company that had the most experiance in Massivly Multiplayer games is Sony Online. Blizzard has OK games, but I am not impressed enough with them to trust them with the Dune Universe.

Cryo still owns the rights to the game if I remember right, If they dont the Sci fi channel does(As it owns the rights to frank herberts dune) and if that dosnt the Herbert family does.

In short, Its a waste of time. We have already tried all of this ::)
