I'm jumping ship to WC3, anyone wanna team up?.

I know WC3 is gonna be no more than a pathetic shadow of Emperor in terms of gameplay potential and overall fun potential, but I am sick of working hard all month in a Tournament full of cheaters and losing games to people who suck simply because many times harvesting bugs ensure my economy will commit suicide.

WC3 won't have cheaters.

Hmmm... if Nav whines as much as he does knowing that nobody listens, just imagine what he'll do when he'll know that the game makes actually listen to him! :O

God help battle.net... I feel sorry for the poor WC3 players. ;D

Well, I preorderd Warcraft III, so come the first week in July, I'll be dedicating most of my game time to becoming a decent Orc or Undead or Human or Demon or Elf.  Man, FIVE, count 'em, FIVE races!

At that time, several M3T4L members will probably be joining me to form a WCIII clan, so we'll see you online there if you buy the game.  Two more months of Emperor, and, assuming WCIII is all it's cracked up to be, I'll only be playing Emperor occasionally after that.

I've never played a Blizzard game before, but all I've heard are good things about Blizzard's support for their games and especially for their online community, so I'm hoping the poor WOL multiplayer management will be a fading memory.  Also, I hope the frequent patches/additions I've heard about are true, and I hope the multiplayer ladders aren't so conducive to cheating as WOL's are.  No HOBBTZ/SCHLONG chickenshit cheaters, I hope.

Also, when C&C Generals comes out, I'll be buying that, too.  At least the Command & Conquer people have their act together, since their sister WOL just plain sucks.

If anyone would like to play WCIII with Taqwa11, Tenfor, Evelded, Sagedoc, and Saintv---all honorable Emperor players--hopefully we'll see you there.  My email is shaz6165@hotmail.com

Well, since it is an RTS, I assume the goal in the game is world domination--what else would it be?  Also, the multiplayer is probably a big battle, akin to other RTS game multiplayer formats.  However, since I haven't played the game and know only what I've read, I can't comment with any authority until I get it and play it.  I'm hoping that all the hype isn't wrong because it'd really suck if it turned out to be worse than Emperor, wouldn't it?

Well, Nav, I don't have any beef with you (just with Bilbo and Cable2Ghz) so I'm sad to see you leave.  I'll be loyal to Emperor for some time after WC3 is released, but I will eventually buy that game and get into it too.  It seems very well done, though a little cheesy.  WTF is a Mountain King anyways?

Have you see the trailers?  Whooaa, man, they're like freakin' movie trailers for LOTR.   ;D

Taqwa:  There will only be FOUR playable races in War Craft 3.  The Burning Legion (the demons) are super powerful and require multiple factions to attack them and win.  Thus, including the Burning Legion in multiplayer would be a bigger mistake than shooting yourself in the crotch.

I have to go to the doctor.

LOL, Dunlavy.  Thanks for the info.  Sounds awesome.  Yeah, I'll be playing the occasional Emperor after I get into WCIII, but probably mostly with friends and clanmates (assuming WCIII lives up to its billing, that is--otherwise I'll go BACK to Emperor until C&C Generals comes out).

I may have to check this game out eventually... am having to much fun with Ebfd and Dungeon Siege right now... but I may have to check it out after it ships... I'll wait and see how bad Nav flames it to see if there are too many bugs worth buying it when it comes out or wait for the fixes ;D :P ;D

Dungeon Siege is a great game if you like that style they have a demo avaliable for DL at website

I have Dungeon Seige, and it's a great game.  Graphics are fantastic.  I'm just playing it at my own relaxed pace right now, but my son is rocketing through it and having a blast.

I enjoyed the game for a bit, but it's just the same crap over and over. Build the same units, attack in the same way, win or lose only by luck. I think anyone that played Emperor would easily rock anyone else at this game, but it's just too mind numbing to even bother with... I've only been beaten once ;D

if you have 100,000,000 you won't have to mine for gold, you could just use what you have.

I never heard of any new and inventive 3D RTS graphics, i wish they would have used them if it is true

I want the beta but can't get it evidently, the only place i know of that has it uses spywear and i don't want them changing my registries or the like.

Why Taq bought the pre-order i have no clue.  Taq, just a tip, your not gonna get it any sooner, you have to remember to bring your reciept with you, they don't "hold" the box when it comes in (even though they may say they do), and your giving away 10 bucks for nothing but a promise.  It's not worth the trouble, just buy it when it comes in, at least thats my opinion, no offense.

I didn't play WCII cause of the cheesey graphics, so i'm looking forward to WCIII ESPECIALLY since it's coming out during the summer, so i'll be hooking myself up to a coffee IV and looking for alternatives to using the restroom so i don't have to leave the screen for more than a minute

Observer Mode will be included, as will game recording.  This will be a tremendous boon to team and alliance building and to helping individuals as they learn the game.

Perhaps the most interesting element of multiplayer will result from another feature in the game, the World Builder.  The World Builder will allow programmers familiar with Java to script new items, spells, units... everything.  It will be exciting to see this when it hits Battle.net.

That means instead of taking multiple screen shots you can just record the game, actually, if they do it like they did in SC and BW you don't have to record the game, you only have to set up a folder for recorded games, then after a game you decide to save the recorded game, if you just move on to the next game your recorded game is lost.  The recordings can be played back at different speeds, froze, or seen from multiple angles.  Also, in a recorded game you can see everything that your opponent did up to the end of the game, there's no fog.

Observer mode looks really kool, currently on SC or BW you have to tell everyone your just watching and pray they don't blast you, with an observer mode you won't have to worry

What they mean by making ally's compliment each other is beyond me, i think they may be talking about is things like splash damage, but not sure.

The fact that you can share rescources is SOOO kool, it'll completely end the "camp in the base entrance" strategy of SC and BW (and EBFD)

No, Frodo, I didn't mean I went to the store and pre-ordered it while plunking down my ten bucks.  I pre-ordered online from a Canadian company.  About 50 bucks American, which includes the big strategy guide, a 20 dollar value. :)

Oh, and I think the different sides complement each other the same way a two-man team, one Atreides and one Ordos, is more diverse and stronger, generally, than just two Atreides.
