Jos the Boss ;D

Picture this.. a reasonable driver and you're in one of worst team (not worse as in bad, but lack of money, one of the worse cars on the track)... and suddenly you end up first in the 1st qualifying training... ROTFLMAO... I've never laughed so hard... ;D

Imagine what Jos could do when he was driving a good car in normal circumstances. I would like to see schumi drive in the car that Verstappen drives ...

Hilarious however unlikely :D

It happened today ! The reason why I'm kinda exited as well, is because Jos is Dutch, call it patriotism ;D

I agree. Especially his starts with for example the arrows team was amazing. After the first corner he already had gained 5 or more places.. When he was driving for Benneton at the time (with Shumi), he actually got on the podium... Would be fun to see him drive the Ferarri or BMW (or Mercedes-McLaren for that matter)... you know.. just once so he can proof once again he can drive very well in a good car.

Funny, I didn't think techies had countries...

Well, what was the circumstance of the victory?

LOL, obviously, as you noticed, there indeed were circumstances :)

It had rained all day. Because in the free training the best players drove better times (basicly, the ranking you'd expect) they all had to drive first on a wet track (the 1 being the fatsest had to start first)... Minardi (Jos' team) were the last to start. Obviously, when they came on the track, it was all dried up by then. I have to admit though, Jos was still 3 seconds faster then the one before him, so it was still a good lap.

More funny, due to the fact that he ended up first today, he has the opportunity to qualify as last tomorrow. Now I'm praying the same situation as today will be tomorrow. It'll be his first pole in a 100 Grand Prixes (this is GP 101 for him) :)

What's even more humerous is BAR getting impounded by the French police...Villenuve said a little while ago "Everytime I step into that BAR car my reputition lowers even more."

And Menardi's victory today will undoubtfully go down in F1 history.

Villenuve made a good lap though, considering his first lap on the track needed to count for the qualifying.

And yes, history it certainly is. The whole team was cheering like they won the world championship after Jos came over the finish line :) It would have been better if Jos' teammate's car wasn't to light. Then they would have had position 1 and 2 :)

bryorama, it's about Formula 1 racing.

I like Pizziona for some odd reason...Did you see how many times the American announcer (Name I can't think of) called Wilson "Ma man" like he could actually win something last race?

Pizzonia seems like a nice guy.

i can't be bothered watching racing. it's so boring.

if they wanted to get a real audience base (like a popular tv show would have), then they should try making the following changes.

no pits --- if your car screws up, you're SOL!

...or better yet,

no closed courses. how boring. have the races take place along real city streets. the police could syphon off the streets for the day. although it would be better still if they let normal traffic proceed as usual.

that'd make for some entertaining racing.

What should the drivers do when out of petrol not even halfway through the race?

either:

1. bigger engines

2. shorter races

3. stop using oil-based cars

btw i don't watch movies with crappy acting and no plot for those who told me to go see 2 Fast 2 Furious. i wanna see the real deal.

What do you have against Minardi? They had 2, TWO!! points last season!

I have nothing against Minardi ! What I found funny was that they have not the best team, yet in the Friday qualifying the ended up on Pole :)

In case you didn't know, Jos is Dutch... so am I :)

Slovak Porsche GT racer and last time a MP Jiri Malcharek was working for Minardi last year as a test driver. Pity he wasn't on round...
