I didn't know I was living in such a so antisemitic nation! I can often observe racism from french to arabs since I'm a child, everywhere here, they are really discriminated in daily uses, and to gipsies as well, but rarely to jews. On the contrary, most of the jews here are pretty rich and respected. The french governement respects and helps french jews and condemn each antisemitic word or act. Of course there's the nationalist party, le Front National, who leads a minority... They speak loud and feed the hate, but most of the people disavow this attitude. I know synagogues and jews cimetaries have been damaged, but ... every week? No! I think jews place in a prominent position that kind of event each time it happens and I obviously understand it. Anyway the guilties aren't the whole nation, but some isolated fanatic neo-nazis or fanatic muslims. I cannot let you contend that the whole french nation is antisemitic, it's a grievous insult, beyond the generalization.

Interresting! I didn't know that! In a same kind, I just learned this week why english people drive on the left side of the road : it comes from the time before cars, horses riding. The soldiers (beeing mostly right handed) had to hold their weapon in the right hand to use it by meeting the ennemy. So, in France we often laugh at english who don't want to change anything, but in fact, it was the french who changed first the traffic side!

Forcing, I don't think so, but conditioning, certainly... Yes, I comdemn too. Children must be kept out of all kind of violence ; unfortunatly, violence is everywhere, and childre are especially involved in case of religious or politic fanatism.

I didn't agree Leo, on the contrary, I tried to correct his settled opinion, subjective because of his origin. When I spoke about discriminations on Jews and Arabs, I spoke about french nationalists discrimination. Unless if you talk about my answer to Wolfwiz : I just admitted nationalists are ascending. I disagree nationalists, in France or anywhere. And one more thing: the most of arabs I know in France aren't practising muslims.

For one time, I must admit something fair about you, Emprworm, your post shows some nice style... BUT your amazing blind fanatism let me think you drank well the obscurantist theories of the right-wing, that is to say rich people who doesn't want to fall in an average. Average is the best solution of equality, and socialism just want to approach it, (not impose it, like communism). You talk about freedom to fail, poetically it's fine and I agree, but practically, when you really are in a situation of failure, especially because of mighty companies, you won't call it freedom!
