Alright, I'll probably sound like a newbie posting this question... but ok. Does having more of the same building ( for example, three barracks) increase your building speed? I once read it does, but I don't understand how it could.

yeah,, of course. more buildings give u more protuction speed.

Three buildings max the production speed, more does no good.

Yes, multiple starports, palaces, construction yards, factories, barracks, sub house units, hangers, barracks and I think thats it unless I'm forgetting something...

Construction Yard

Barracks

Factory

Hanger

Palace

All 5 Subhouse buildings.

The speed increase is like this:

1 - 100% (normal build time)

2 - 150%

3 - 200% (4 or more is still 200%)

He does this work for Dune 2000 also? I've been through all the missions on normal succesfully, but if I would have known that it would have been a hell lot easier >:( !

Yeah. The same build speed rule applies with Dune2000

I always thought that more than one starport reduces ETA time for orders

I don't know about that one. But I don't think so. Because every unit has a specefic build time, and if you want more buildings, you need more buildings that produce the unit.

But I'm not sure about this

No it does not.More than 1 SP is still the same speed.
