gamespy will still sell all your info to spam/scam companies regardless of any boxes that are ticked or not and in any case that is STILL never justified even if they didn't (which they do)

Just use a fake or throwaway hotmail account if you are so paranoid. It still works and you don't have to worry about evil GameSpy finding out all about you.

I have a GameSpy account, but I never receive any spam from them. But I didn't leave that box thicked Ken was talking about ;)

I remember that I registered at gamespy when I tried the demo of Renegade, didn't get spam or junk email from them.

I've seen better programs, all-seeing-eye is the best game finder.

And the most annoying part of Gamespy is, they've ruined a enjoyable community called MPlayer.

Second, they're thinking that they are "GAMING" experts, they inspect a mod and without giving any thought about it. "This mod is sucky, period"

They don't even play it, and the so called 'game' testers of gamespy are suppose to be people with a extreme fine taste for games.
