I like Asimov's books a lot, but I couldn't choose between Herbert or Asimov. My favorite of Asimov's are the robot series, I, Robot, Caves of Steel, and The Naked Sun. I have yet to read the Foundation series, which I have so I will get to it someday.

I've only read I, Robot and the original Foundation, and now I'm trying to find the rest of the series.

Anyway, the Foundation series covers my favourite subject! POLITICS!! ;D I love it! :)

Are you sure that he died from AIDS???

The biographies says that he died from cardial failure and renal insufficiency.

Yes, they said that becuase back they told him not to say he had AIDS. His wife wrote a book a year or 2 ago revealing that AIDS caused his death. And that he got it from a bad blood transfusion during a surgery in the 80's

He died on cancer on 6th april 1992 in New York. Second Foundation was for me the best he wrote, altough other books were also good. Other books were hard to read, because I'd always waited for some link to his main series. Without Robots and the Empire I wouldn't enjoy even his primary work.
