because you've never played online. it's a fact of nature that anyone who never played Emperor online sucks at Emperor. you may not realize what I mean just yet but if you ever run into a real player like me on WOL you'll find out that what I'm saying is true.

Yes he has owned me once and once only, but Ive owned his sorry little ass more then 30 times plus..

BTW:The only reason he beat me was he rode worm that saved him,but I cant hold that against him anything goes in QM.

I hate NEWBS they really ruin the game and the fun of playing E;BFD. Hostile newbs are especially Annoying.

Maybe there should be a special option to Ban Hostile newbs from playing E;BFD online for a time but only if we know their intentions or at least detect any first.

I've always said that QM sets are the real men sets. ;)

Impossible every one was a n00b at one time. Unless they stop making the game and ppl can no longer but it, there will always be n00bs.

I take the fact that there are lots of newbies as a positive factor. It shows that there's still a large enough influx of gamers who enjoy playing emp.

there will always be n00bs regardless, even if Emp is taken off the market. i've seen many guys who have had the game for ages yet are still n00bs.

yes it is now impossible to avoid n00bs which is why Emperor is even less appealing than ever (and hence just look at this board, there a very very few old timers left and of those that are almost none are elite players). the way to avoid n00bs in the past was to play QM. most n00bs avoided QM so it was a great way to enjoy Emp with minimal n00b contact. but with QM gone, there is no feasible way to avoid n00bs any more and this is probably the single greatest factor into why all the great players left Emperor forever :(

noobs are not only those with few skills in any game (like ebfd), also are those who can only beat noobs but can never beat any average or elite player.

Bullshit, Nav. Noobs aren't the reason why the best Emperor players are all gone. The fact is, Emperor got a bit old for most of us "old timers" (and no, I'm not saying I was one of the best Emperor players ever, because I only played about half as many games as they did). Then the attrition rate was increased by Warcraft III (YOU even left to play that, Nav) and now Generals. People move on to new things--not necessarily BETTER things, but NEW things. Then of course there is the fact that Westwood/EA abandoned the game and took away the ladders. What true competitor--which is what the great Emperor players ALL were--is gonna stick around when there is no ladder for status, no support, and the number of players has dwindled to the point where you often have to wait twenty minutes to get a game?
