I was at my daughter's school today helping out in the computer lab and the activity they were working on today was Tangram puzzles to sharpen logical and spatial thinking. I was having some problems with one of the puzzles myself. Here is a link to the java applet :

Basically you select one of the shapes at the bottom of the applet and then you have to take the pieces given to you and make them all fit in the shape. You can rotate the shapes by grabbing any of the corners and dragging the mouse. Give it a try!

They are quite challenging I must admit. What really bothers me about these puzzles is that they are supposed to be solvable by 3rd grade students! Some of the kids in class seemed to have no problem with them.

I am able to solve all of them now. Once you have solved the easiest ones you will have a strategy for the harder ones in no time.

Where's the link? I can't find the link to try on your link ???

where the java program graphic thing is click on the bottom of it where there is shapes, then you can fill them in.
