I got this in an email from my dad...

This is a beautiful photo of a giant flag in Arizona.......

The photo is authentic and unretouched. The picture was taken on regular Kodak 35 mm film and developed at Wal Mart. The person who took the picture couldn't believe the image created by the sun's rays. Nice of them to share with the world!

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us....go ahead and delete this.

For the rest of us.....pass this on...

I found an impression of Elvis Presley in a Lays chip. Should I worship Elvis now? Oh crap I'm late for the HeartBreak Hotel sermon! *footsteps* *car door shuts* *tired screech on the road*... If this reaffirms your beliefs, good for you. But it's pretty stupid. :)

its sweet that your dad thought that. I think that that kind of stuff is almost always just some sort of optical illusion. Still though, I think you are kinda acting silly acriku.

You should have been in Nova Scotia Canada when a light on wall outside of a Tims store (coffee, donut shop), the light turned into an angel or somehting and it was in the national and regional news for weeks, it was funny. (show us Canucks have something to do other than be cold and play hockey ehh?)

It could be interpreted to be that America is a Christian nation. Which it isn't. So, where lies the beauty? The offchance of the right angle, and height and fabric of the flag to produce the site of death of a supposed man?

A cross is a simple figure. Short stick horizontal, long stick vertical. Cross Mountain is another example of a cross-formation appearing. Again, a cross is a simple figure. Enough time will pass that it will appear in places not man-made.

Having read http://66.165.133.65/photos/azflag.asp it seems that there is a perfectly reasonable reason for this. So, it isn't divine. So, again, where is the beauty? I guess if an Elvis fan can find Elvis' head on a chip beauty, this can be, too.

The beauty lies in the coincidence that this exact... bah, why even bother? You're hopeless... :)

The bottom line is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Simple rules of light, if the sun had been lower or the flag been 'taller' than the strip of light above the focus of the sun would have been equal to the one below. Nonetheless, a very nice picture.
