many of you have recieved private IM's on this issue. I will not go into a lot of detail because I wish for this to be as civil as can be. I am not trying to go overboard here, I just really was shocked by how hurtful empr has been. I have heard things like people leaving, people having hurt feelings. I myself have had this happened. I care much for my mod status because I love where I work in the duniverse. It means a heck of a lot to me. Some people on here mean more though and I wont let them go through shit like this. Nav didnt do as much harm. He was an annoying guy. Empr on the other hand seems not to care about others feelings and rails against them things that nobody seems to see. Empr himself will probably laugh at this. I want everybody here to tell me what they think should happen to empr. In the end it is Gob's choice. He is the leader and we respect that. I know I do. I dont want to lose my position as a moderator, but I really feel I have to do this. I wont lose people on this site because of a fool. you are open to comment yourself empr, this isnt because you are popular or that I am trying to create strife, far from it. I am trying to help create order. If a global moderator deems this thread to be wrong and locks it, then I have absolutely NO problem with that. I dont wish to cause problems. I just wish that this shit that has been happening for too long to be settled. It isnt my place to decide at all about empr, I am just a regular board poster. I do wish though that you guys will post with what you feel in your mind and heart is the right thing. Please gob, try to understand this isnt an emotional slam against empr. I hope you dont take away any privilages you have given, but I know the risks I take. thanks guys and I hope all of ya understand where I am coming from. :)

Good job TMA, you kept that very civil. And I tend to agree with you. Emprworm's conduct has gone overboard. I suppose a short ban might help the situation, or perhaps this thread in itself will help to change him :-

A ban is not necessary. I will leave on my own. It would be nice to know what offense I committed other than anti-bush people not likeing my political views. What flames have I issued to you, TMA?

If you want, I will search through your last 500 posts and numerically list every personal flame you hurled at me. SHould I do that TMA? Naaa.....i dont feel like it. But this is Gob's board. Maybe there are some people here who want me to stay and like me being here. I suppose if eveyrone hates me like Nav, then there is no point, Ill just go. THere are sooo many boards on the internet, its not like I have no other place to go. So far its 2 people that want me gone. I will make you this deal: if the majority of ppl want me gone, I will leave. No hard feelings.

People's opinion of someone plays absolutely no role in whether they are banned. If you don't like someone whoopity freeking do. emprworm's views clash with a lot of people on this board but that is no reason to ban him. I'm not going to turn this forum into a place where we turn away people who don't share the opinion of the majority of the members.

I agree Gobalopper, I think that TMA is just doing this as a gesture more then something that would actually cause a change. Emprworm's views do clash with a lot of peoples but that's not a problem to me, in fact I find him to be one of the most interesting people here, I just feel that his personal attacks have gotten a little out of hand :-

my freaking goodness jesse.lol This isnt about conflicting views! this is about going way overboard in expressing of views. Would you go up to an important figure that you disagree with and talk about it? or would you insult and slandor that person, inevitably hurting feelings? Would you even try to attack that person's character? YOu dont need us to give you things, you see it yourself.

when you are attacked, it is a natural reaction to attack back. Some people who have never been as pissed before go livid by empr. It makes you wonder if you are jsut out of touch gob.

why TMA? i want to make peace with you. I propose this:

here are two ways this can be resolved:

1. put me on ignore. I have done this with Edric. You will be surprised how utterly freeing the experience is :). You will feel so much better when you see <this post has been blocked> next to my name in all the threads. Gob has that feature for you. Why don't you use it? It works fabulously.

2. Mutual silence. I am willing to not talk to you again, if you do not talk to me again.

either of those 2 options to me seem like a good way to resolve this.
