lion king was made by Virgin Interactive, not Westwood

it was not just for the consoles. it was for the PC as well. one of the best platform games ever made. i still have it on 3.5 floppy disk but what sucks is it's not playable anymore because it only runs in DOS and whenever I use MS-DOS mode to play it with Win 98 SE I always get forced back to the DOS prompt after the second level and it says "Insufficient XMS memory" or something like that. :(

yeah that is the one. another fan i see.

as a kid i used to play it on my 486. with that i was able to tweak DOS until it let the game run up to the "Be Prepared" level (about the second-last level) then as soon as i used a continue, i'd get booted back to the DOS prompt with a very similar message to the "Out of XMS memory" that i get now.

that was so traumatic. it's actually a very very hard game to master and i spent hundreds of hours getting to the "Be Prepared" level :(
