WTF where are my units?

Can anyone help me, i just started playing, i've gone through 3 levels and i never get options to build engineers , advanced carryalls, or ornothopters. I've built all the buildings, what am i doing wrong?

Are you playing skirmish or campaign mode???

For certain units like the engineer you need to upgrade your buildings.

If you are playing a campaign, certain units or buildings come only available after finishing some missions.

Right now i'm playing campaine mode, .. but i didn't know ou can upgrade buildings...wheres the option?

Click with your mouse on the red colored "upgrade button" located above the picture "build windtrap" and just below the "repair button"

you can't upgrade to certain units until you get to a certain point in the Campaigns. very annoying, i know. sometimes you *need* units in the early missions but the game won't let you build them until it thinks you are at a point in the Campaign that you are *supposed* to build them.

Buildings you must upgrade if you're playing online:

Baracks, factory, every refinery 2 times, at least those, if you have a sardaukar varacks or fremen camp, up grade them, if you have enough money ;)

You could also just push U on the keybord. Thats a faster way of getting to upgrade. All of it is in the little book you got when you bought the game (manual).
