Printing out the whole discussion board would have used too much ink...That and I found it difficult to keep up with what I'd tried. Guest nclestink Posted January 26, 2002 Share Posted January 26, 2002 As for what I have tried..see if i can remember it all.Have tried higher (1024x768) to lower res (640x480) both 16bit and 32 bit. Turned TL&Multi both on and off on each. Have disabled trueform/smooth wahtever in the new ati card.I have ran the sliders for vid accel each of the 4 steps. Have ran the slider for sound card each of 4 steps. Have also lowered and raised data rate conversion on sound card.I've changed all the bios settings for agp speed/optimizaion settings.I have run the game with the following switches: +W -w -c as a last resort I have also tried to run the game with the network card disabled.Have I missed the magic element ??? david Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You said you were able to complete one campaign. What exactly happens when you try to play now ?Try running the game with the option -s behind the games shortcut.Also, check for any cd burn software. Guest lauden147 Posted January 27, 2002 Share Posted January 27, 2002 Nyar, I have reinstalled 7 times in the last few days with varying setups to try and get it to work. I have used 3 different cd rom drives to install (all of the drives work). No luck. Also, I havn't added RAM to this computer for 6 months or so. A couple of other questions though:When I install, it gets to 100%, and says that it is creating shortcuts. It does this for awhile, then kicks me right back to desktop, which ends up being an unusually low resolution. I have to restart at this point because the resolution is so low and I can't even view the taskbar. Changing the resolution by going into settings using the right mouse button is no use, because the mouse stops working. Anyways, after I restart all signs show that the game completely installed, but I'm not sure...Do you think that the game could have conflicts with Windows ME that prevent it from working?
