How hard are the EBFD online players?

most of us are really nice. we're all one big happy family b/c WW had basically forsaken us.

There are two unbeatably top ranked players currently, namely Doc Nyar and Rogue1896.

and yeah, you probably shouldn't play me. i've sent numberous EBFD players home in body bags. i can rush a person, which i don't do often, in like 1.3 minutes. and when it gets into the long games i usually end up outnumbering the enemy 5/2. you should start with the easier players. after about a month or two i'll play you if you think your up to it.

ppl get rushed b/c their inviting them to rush.

Its just ppl come here on the board and begin cracking the game up after they barely played 2 or 3 online games.

You should play it a month or so and if u then think it still sucks then either u got no talent or.. well whatever

But this is a RTS and rts aint meant to be slow or anything.

Besides if they were airdropping stuff on your defences by the time your first tank came rolling out of the fac, then I'm wondering what u were doin in all the time they needed to get adv carryalls and the artillery they dropped on you..

And about me beeing obnoxious and all, well, what can I say, I'm SKUM :P

Listen.. if you're going to play online for the first time and face a good oponent, you immidiately feel like giving up.

When I played online the first few games, I was thinking "Where the hell did all those units come from". I wasn't slow on building up my base or defences, but I had and still have no clue as to who, how, when and what you do/did to get that massive army so fast. And with fast I mean that I got defeated within 2-3 minutes.

And you're wrong by stating that an RTS ain't meant to be slow. Play a few and you'll notice that with some you actually are able to play longer games, without being extremely good. I for one understand Tezcatlipoca's stand in this issue. If I want to do some serious gaming, I surly won't play EBFD (sorry to bust some bubbles here and there).

Stop putting people down if they don't like the rushing aspect of this game and respect them. You probably would achieve more by telling how and what to do when he gets rushed, like some others did.

Well, its pretty much like i figured: just grunt rushing. If you dont know how to build things as fast as you can, then your done for. (No this isnt a stab at anyone. At most its a stab at myself). Its pretty much the same style as it was back in the old warcraftII online days.

All well, guess ill be uninstalling those darned internet components again. GG to those who beat me btw. Good teamwork and "take the newb out first" strat.

No, you're wrong, so wrong, this game is not close to Warshit 3.

You need a COMBINATION of units to win, trust me, you were facing n00b rushers which wont survive against an true expert.

Try to make combinations, or host co-operative campaigns, you can't lose, you don't have a human enemy, an human allie!

When I says RTS aint meant 2 b slow, I wasn't advertising for rush games.

and ofcourse, i have played games that lasted over 3 hrs.

But those games are only possible if the players are roughly equally skilled.

And Although I probably look like a big meanie now (maybe I am ;D) I always give players tips when I see something they should definetely do differently.

But this guy isn't asking for advice, he just plays the game and has his judgement ready after he played just a few games.

In my opinion EBFD is still one of the best RTS existing today, if not THE best.

I have plenty of other RTS games (all parts of the C&C series, Warcraft III etc) but none of them comes even close to EBFD. Depite its bugs (harvesting, pathfinding) it is an amazingly well balanced game, and with some effort to get the hang of it every true RTS fan will agree with me.

I didn't liked it when I lost my first games. But I didn't kept worrying about it. I knew I would get some better later. And that happened, and I got more fun to play. It's just the fase of getting used to WOL that can make the game less for a few days.

Unstall those internet components and never play again.

You might as well uninstall every other game that poses a challenge of any kind, apparently you are not made for it :P

that is really really rude to tell someoene who is having a ruff time against players much like yourself that r always making fun of those who are worse then themselves ... and HEY U WERE A NEWB ONCE TOO!!!!!!!

anyway.. Tezcat u should not give up.. there are several players that arent' as rude as some .. my clan members will play with ya for fun if u would like too... in fact i will be on this weekend so if u get on ... if u still have the internet part of the game... then me and one of my buddies ,probably me and other H_S_ clan members (my clan, obvious who we are because all of us have 'slap' names) will be glad to help u out in learning some strats to protect against rushers... it's a skill that if u r willing to play the game u will need eventually.

I dont make fun of him, I just despise him giving up so easy and having his negative conclusion ready and wrapped after he just plays a few games.
