dont get me wrong, though. I am very very grateful that in my country, I can say "Jesus is Lord" (or whatever) on the street and not be imprisoned.

if that is patriotism, then so be it, because I will always be grateful to my country for that freedom.

A nation in my eyes is not just a nation. A nation protects all it's inhabitants, which IMO is a good thing. You are still a human while you live in a nation.

big difference I would say. As for you ,you admit your Hungarian origins

and Hungarians were trying to destroy and assimilate the Slovak nation

for more than 1000 years. :)

You are where you are thanks to a large number of historical factors. Other people work just as hard, but still live in miserable poverty. If you were a Slovak yuo would know that Ludovit Stur brought us

alphabetisation.
