god, now i feel like a freaking anime n00b. lmao. btw, apparently there's actually an ADV channel but it's supposedly only on basic cable in Pennsylvania or something. lmao. well it's probably other places but Pennsylvania is the closest place to me. i'd have to special order it. dammit. why does everyrthing always suck.

and btw, my list was just what i own, not what i've seen. i've seen my fair share thanks to things like Toonami and Adult Swim.

Mine's mostly what I watched on Basic and Cable TV. Mostly from the latter. But I have 2 complete series and 1/2 season on VCD format. I also have an anime movie on VCD (x2)

My anime on VCD:

Full Metal Panic

Vandread: The Second Stage

Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040

Oh! My Goddess/Ah!My Goddess the movie

(Now logically, the rest is what I watched on the Basic and Cable airwaves...)

I plan to buy the Love Hina series next, but I have insufficient funds... :'(

I also watched these anime on TV:

Sorcerer Hunters/Bakuretsu Hunters

You're Under Arrest (Season 1 and movie)

Burn Up Excess

Ghost In The Shell

Blue Submarine # 6

Has anyone seen stuff about Gundam SEED?

Oh well, back to racking my brain... >:(

I'm looking for another cyber-thriller anime. Mostly like Ghost in the Shell/Blade Runner like, something like constant night/huge city/cyborg-robot like.

I saw Applesead, not that good. It had some pretty good story/message, but the overall "thriller" feeling isn't great since it's day all the time, and the characters are somewhat humorous...

yeah Appleseed is awful, lol

and the problem with the dubbed one is the language is awful. As for an anime thriller, if you want a series, Bubble Gum Crisis (the new one) is quite good, as for movies, you could try Cyber City Oedo or even Akira (which if you haven't seen yet you must go watch seeing as its one of the most famous and wildly acclaimed anime movies ever). Perfect Blue is a good thriller but not Cyber-thriller.

Yes, I've seen Akira. I also remember some old movie, or series to be correct. If I remember it correctly, it was also manga. I don't remember the name, but it was about a boy that went, with a group of other people, to find his father which were lost somewhere in space. Later, I think, they found out that he was captured by some evil force or something for some unknown reason, I think it was some kind of alien race or something. Sounds familliar to anyone? Hehe...

Char's Counter-attack. One of the Gundam movies, I highly reccommend it, its on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim at 11PM EST for those of you in the US.
