I still remember my first game in multiplayer with Emperor Battle For Dune, it was an quick match and i lost by an guild rush. He cloggged his entrances with all kinds of tanks...

Anyway, i checked out the ladder and there are only 118 people playing quickmatch! :O in those days it was somewhere near the 1000!

This is not only a strategic game this is the best action game too. Not is same AoE that one game have rushs in "40 or 50 minuts" lol.

Damn westwood damn! maybe if the microsoft product one new game of DUNE will have more ppl.

Who like AoE? EMPEROR was my first game online, i have all AoE and i dont know why i buy this shit, i have C&C is good but i really not enjoy.

I know there are few players left in emp, but i really dont give a shit.

I still enjoy playing this game (competetivly) very much so ill play it untill ill get sick of it.

I play Wc3 aswell im starting to win more nowadays, but still i play emp a lot more (not the last weeks tho, no time :() but im definetly gonna be playing this game much longer.

That is nothing, in the first few months there were 5000 players in each individual ladder. so, 5,000 x 3 = 15,000 ppl. until westwood decided to NOT use any advertisements.

For some reason the people in Generals think the game sucks. However this is irrelevant since they do not have the required IQ for their opinion on a strategy game to be valid and they probably never gave emp a serious chance

And by the way WC3 is a poor excuse for a strategy game. Quake is more strategic than WC3 and WC3 has absolutely nothing revelutionary about. The heroes,market, e.t.c had already been around from as far as back as the heroes of mighty and magic games, or from Warlords Battlecry if you want a real-time example. The heroes so far are actually a step backwards in both making the game strategic or unique..

It's also filled with double standards and stupid ideas which would explain almost all of the players are NE and of course the top players are therefore almost all NE as well. The most popular strategy for amatures and ''pros'' (Quake er WC3 players...:D) is hunt massing. The proof is in all the replays of the 'pros'' playing. Most amusing is the NE are supposed to be the sneaky team but they are actually the most reliant on brute force by. Blizzards idea of cunning is without logic and is a pre-conception lacking any form of fore or after thought or any though at all for that matter, in fact Blizzards idea of sneakyness is an disgraceful insult to all such as myself who strive to be the sneakiest

And then there's EMP. Finally a game that may have levels of strategy and thought involved that is on the same league as the AoE series but has 3 diverse teams and is full of colour unlike AoE and then it is not advertised among other things and in a nutshell is not given a chance at all from WW

Whoever said the 5000x3 thing, made a stupid mistake. If there were 5000 players the first month, they would be the same 5000 players the second month and the same 5000 the third month.
