Devastator_Mech Posted September 23, 2002 Posted September 23, 2002 A few scouts is not enough, I had someone last time, who build alot of them, but not enough. And otherwise I would project some anti-infantery units tooWhat do you mean by not enough? Your projection just need to get close to it and there it goes, no reload needed. (batteries not included "thats fantastic !!")You can't see them, only anti-infantry units won't help at all.
Timenn Posted September 23, 2002 Posted September 23, 2002 Pff, only 60 :)And I can avoid scouts after I know where they are, and you can't move them all at the same time, so I will kill most of them with anti-infantery weapons (projections)
Devastator_Mech Posted September 23, 2002 Posted September 23, 2002 They isn't only 1 scout, there's a multiple of scouts spread everywhere, even skills won't help, trust me.
ken124578 Posted September 23, 2002 Posted September 23, 2002 cough cough real sandbikes, buzsaws, dustscouts cough ;D
Timenn Posted September 23, 2002 Posted September 23, 2002 Yeah, he wouldn't believe while I actually done it
Devastator_Mech Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 Bless you. You have REAL sand bikes, i have even more REAL mongooses.
ken124578 Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 too bad he has FAKE and FREE fedaykins.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 Yes, and my ultimate weapon against it is scouts.
ken124578 Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 your scouts will die, seeing all your holograms disappearing at 1 spot looks an bit suspicious.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 I'm sure i have something covering it, you could force attack, but i could move too. Even its dead, doesn't matter, very cheap.
Timenn Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 Yes, and I blow that cover away then, unless you are gonna put scouts before THEM (and I mean far away from the stack, otherwise it's pointless) but then I attack THOSE scouts first...
ken124578 Posted September 25, 2002 Posted September 25, 2002 its not worth dabating, scouts will cost you time and effort while he just has to click the button and click on their destination while you have to micromanage scouts all over the map, replacing them, building them, harvest money to produce more scouts.and while you are busy building scouts he could build an massive mino army, or an army of gunships, or niab tanks etc.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 25, 2002 Posted September 25, 2002 But scouts could prevent any wasting on ammunitions, besides, they take very little time to build, building scouts wouldn't interfere your military force much.
Timenn Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 And they are your only (and unreliable) protection against projected armies
ken124578 Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 an good anti holo defence is plaving an unit with permanent stealth in the field (ixian infiltrator) tthe infiltrator wil not lose its stealth because the hologram isn't real and the hologram wil disappear, place waypoints and you have an reliable anti holo defence.
Timenn Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 But Infiltrators are way more expensive, and quickly destroyed because you moslty attack with anti-tank weaponry. And I succeeded then, even when you only lost some infiltrators. Because it didn't costed me money
Baronvonflames Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 well, it would depend on the hologram units. like if it was a laser tank and an assault tank, the laser tank would win because of range. But as i said before, it would depend on the hologram units.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 I mean, what if a cloaked hologram came up close to another hologram?
ken124578 Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 they both disappear.timenh: the infiltrators are moving (way points) its not possible for you to kill them because i'll be changing the way points from time to time ;)
Devastator_Mech Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 When your really on the battlefield, the projector is nothing more than a waste of $$$ most of the time.Same as the projection, a waste of time, i'll rather use that time to build more units by clicking the unit tabs.
Timenn Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 That post was unnessicary...And ken, the infiltrator is not moving at the time that it hits a projection, so the projection behind it will destroy the infiltrator
Devastator_Mech Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 Yes it is.I'll be uncloaked for about 1/2 a sec, but it won't be stopped, also, i'll doubt the units at the back has such a quick reaction.
Timenn Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 Like I said: The Infiltrator will stop, since I block it's path...
