Devastator_Mech Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 Although they can be irratating to a foe, but they'll never rock, Fremens and Sardaukars are always in the lead.
rtz Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 I think both have there strenghes i prefer house ix then infiltrators are preety good and for example map knife fight most ppl run to rock with there most units so u just need to build ix well they are like the eye in sky but invisible thats very good. Projector can be very usefull but i seldom use it just when i got one from crate.Tleilax hmm leeches can be very helpfull to kill harvs well but they sucks vs hark (buzz). The contaminator is one of bades units i ever saw in emp i could never do anythink with it ... maybe use it in a infanterywar-game!Finnaly i think ix is better and helpfuller
ken124578 Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 learn to speak an bit more english before posting ;)
Timenn Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 Don't worry. I don't annoy me when people don't know English well, it annoys me more when people who CAN speak English, do it very messy.About this topic:We all know who supports which house. So now only posting when you know something new
ken124578 Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 there's not much new for me to learn here ;)
Timenn Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 But if you are 'elite' you must think of NEW strategies...
ken124578 Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 well, the only way you can actually "learn" strategy's is by playing friends in friendly matches, almost all my friends, except 1/2 have left emperor :'(
Timenn Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 No, actually I only played people I didn't know, and I learned alot. But strategies for Ix or Tleilaxu.Anyone every projected leeches?
ken124578 Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 i mostly learn when i'm relaxing and i'm playing with my buddy's just for fun, not to win.timenh: i don't think a lot of people are using ixian projector tanks in multiplayer ;) at least, i haven't met a lot of'em.
Timenn Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 No??Wait when I'm back at WOL (I'm planning to play each time, but forget it each time :()I've seen more players using it. Sometimes as their only tactic. They build a IX centre very quickly, and rush you before you have an army...
ken124578 Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 impossible, by the time he has an ix factory asap he wont have an baracks, and refinery. i could just get some saws rush him and take his con yard with engy's, then build flameturrets in his base and he's finished.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 Well he could build the Ix factory after he's built everythings he needs. Projectors are virtually useless against rushes, you could only project more units to threaten your opponent and hope he'll be too scared to rush seeing so many units of yours.
Timenn Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 Well this works great for players who don't rush in the beginning. And I build the IX centre mostly late in the game. And I defeated some times players with IX, just by projecting army after army. Each time you destroy a few tanks, and that's already enough. For 2 reasons:1) You have your enemy under constant pressure2) Mostly you destroy their economy too
ken124578 Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 well, if you want to get rid of that army you could just destroy the projectors (if he hasn't defended them well. if he has there is little space for projections :P
Timenn Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 Well, I don't defend my projectors well, mostly because I'm too lazy for that. But I can project a defense :)And I used this many times, and they rarely attacked my projectors...
Devastator_Mech Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 Well, I don't defend my projectors well, mostly because I'm too lazy for that. But I can project a defense :)And I used this many times, and they rarely attacked my projectors...Your opponent is dumb, juz put a scout beside(or near it) the projector of yours.
Timenn Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 I doubt that, I did it against better players then newbies, and they mostly got more things to do (like defending from those projections) then searching and destroying my projectorsAnd if they are destroyed, I rebuilded them in no-time
rtz Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 i mostly learn when i'm relaxing and i'm playing with my buddy's just for fun, not to win.timenh: i don't think a lot of people are using ixian projector tanks in multiplayer ;) at least, i haven't met a lot of'em.I agree when i see some ppl that build a ix centre they just build infiltrators! But a few days ago i met some1 that was allmost death he had 5 projectors and create lots of fremen, he had very much fremen then he left and u saw all units dieing also the fremen...I had never really problems with some1 who use a projector against me i normally sent 2 fedaykin that kill the units and then the projector
Timenn Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 Ok, but you can't easily destroy my projected army. And I will keep you busy you won't believe your eyes :)But I don't have my projectors in the middle of nowhere mostly
ken124578 Posted September 22, 2002 Posted September 22, 2002 yeah, if you're planning on killing his projected army you'll be busy forever.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 22, 2002 Posted September 22, 2002 Ok, but you can't easily destroy my projected army. And I will keep you busy you won't believe your eyes :)But I don't have my projectors in the middle of nowhere mostlySeriously man, i would even both to attack your projections, i'll just have some scouts in front of my army.
Timenn Posted September 22, 2002 Posted September 22, 2002 A few scouts is not enough, I had someone last time, who build alot of them, but not enough. And otherwise I would project some anti-infantery units too
